I've always loved "Under Pressure" with Mercury/Bowie...I'll have to tune into the PBS thing tonight now. I've never been crazy about Bowie but back in the 70s he was on the Bing Crosby Christmas show and sang a duet that was to die for. I loved it ever since and apparently it has become very popular in the last few years, playing on t.v. around Christmas time.

Ice's version was much better than the Queen song. lol..."Queen" with a fruit loop fronting the band. Wonder if that was intentional?

I LOVE that Bowie/Bing Crosby Christmas song! It's one of my favorite Christmas songs. They used to play it on MTV back when they actually had music videos around Christmas time.

Are you sure?

"Before Eminem, Vanilla Ice was the world’s no. 1 choice of white rapper and just as controversial. Born Robert Van Winkle in Florida in 1968, his anthem to, er, himself. Ice Ice Baby sold 15 million copies when it was released in 1990. He overdosed in 94 on “heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and anything I could get my hands on… At that point I had over eighteen million dollars in the bank, and I still couldn't find happiness in being rich or famous.”

I've never met anybody who could admit with a straight face to actually enjoying that song on a serious artistic level.

17.9 of that 18 million dollars should've went to Queen, and besides, WHAT THE FUCK DOES MONEY HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING when deciding how credible a musician/performer/whatever is?! I don't think you've ever straight-up answered that question to me, YET.

I could spit better rhymes off the top of my head than Ice could if he had a month to write 'em... where's my recording contract?

And can you really justify him stealing Queen's bassline, at all? I'd love to hear your spiel, if you can.

ahhh - one of my favorites of all time, too. Like the version w/Bowie best, though. He kind of anchors Mercury’s sadness/anguish...

lol...easy, cowboy. Man, it's so easy to get you riled up.

PS My friend (hot ass snobby bitch) was dating Ice's drummer and I went to see him a few years ago. Dude sings metal now. Ice Ice Baby in the metal version was a trip.
