Need some help with ROCK TRIVIA...

Postby ProgRocker53 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 10:58 am

Okay one of my buddies needs my help making some Rock Trivia questions for a party he's having tomorrow night. Whoever gets the most questions right at his party gets their choice of Revelation, Disturbed's new one, and Weezer's new one.

Anyway, I need a little help with some rock/popular music trivia questions... i've got a decent-ish list already but need help from you folk.

Thanks in advance.

1. What was Dee Snyder's inspiration for the Melody Line for Twisted Sister's song, "We're Not Gonna Take It"?
Answer: "Oh Come, All Ye Faithful".

2. Where did Ronnie James Dio get his famous finger "horn sign" from?
Answer: His Italian Grandmother....she'd point her pinky and index finger at him as a child and say, "I'm WATCHING you."

That would be the one and only Fleetwood Mac 1968 vintage
He’s just a young boy out of school
Livin’ his world like he wants to
They’re makin’ laws, but they don’t understand
Turns a boy in to a fightin’ man

Sounds Like Me ...joined the military 7 days out of high school Needed to Escape

What Instrument is missing from Prince's song, "When Doves Cry"?
Answer: The Bass.

Why does the Lead Singer from Rainbow sing the line, "You put me in a DEEP FREEZE!" at the end of the song, "Stone Cold"?
Answer: Because they recorded it in a Studio at a location where they had a major blizzard; he saw all the snow and ad-libbed the line.

What in the HELL is the guy talking about at the end of the song, "All The Young Dudes"?
Answer: Believe it or not, there was a SCHOOL TOUR going through at the time they were recording that song....so, he's yelling, "I WANNA SEE YOU!" etc. at a bunch of Grade School kids.

How did the "sound effect" at the beginning of Van Halen's "Running With The Devil" come about?
Answer: David Lee Roth lined up a bunch of his Luxury Cars and had people lay on the horns at the same time; then, they "pitch-bended" it.

Which singer appears to have two different-colored eyes and why do they look that way?

Answer: David Bowie was born with blueish eyes. In 1962, he got into a fight with his longtime school friend George Underwood (over George's girlfriend), and a punch from Underwood damaged Bowie's left eye. His pupil was paralyzed, becoming unable to dilate or contract according to the ambient light.
As a result, Bowie's left eye now appears to be a different colour to his right eye, appearing either brown or green depending on the ambient light
.
