Crazy Horse!

(ProgRocker53 trivia: I was known as "Chief Krazy Horse" for three and a half years of mascotting for a minor league baseball team, the Chillicothe Paints.)

Prog,
Are you from Chillicothe? I suspect you've seen TUCUMSAH then!!!

In the early 70's, Gene Simmons demoed the unsigned band Van Halen and

Answer: David Bowie was born with blueish eyes. In 1962, he got into a fight with his longtime school friend George Underwood (over George's girlfriend), and a punch from Underwood damaged Bowie's left eye. His pupil was paralyzed, becoming unable to dilate or contract according to the ambient light.
As a result, Bowie's left eye now appears to be a different colour to his right eye, appearing either brown or green depending on the ambient light
.

That answer is pretty wordy, isn't it???

Yes, and I expect Prog to memorize it word for word  (I think 'David Bowie, punched in the eye' would do, however  )

What highly-respected, Grammy-winning session/smooth jazz guitarist known as "Captain Fingers" was personally recruited by David Gilmour to help him with certain guitar techniques during the recording of Pink Floyd's The Wall, and actually ended up playing (uncredited) on two tracks ("One Of My Turns" and "Comfortably Numb"), on that prog-rock masterpiece?

Answer below...

Lee Ritenour.

Don't feel bad if you didn't know, especially if you have no idea who the guy is.

Fact is, despite calling myself a fan, even I didn't know about the Ritenour/Floyd connection until he told me about it himself during our first interview some 20 years ago.

Additional The Wall trivia, for anyone who never checked out that album's liner notes: among the backing vocalists hired for the album sessions were Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys, and Toni Tennille.

Yes, that Toni Tennille...

;^)

Apparently got it wrong. Sorry folks . Toni Tennille's husband Darryl Dragon played some keyboard for the 1982 Survivor album with the same name. :)
