What highly-respected, Grammy-winning session/smooth jazz guitarist known as "Captain Fingers" was personally recruited by David Gilmour to help him with certain guitar techniques during the recording of Pink Floyd's The Wall, and actually ended up playing (uncredited) on two tracks ("One Of My Turns" and "Comfortably Numb"), on that prog-rock masterpiece?

Don't feel bad if you didn't know, especially if you have no idea who the guy is.
Fact is, despite calling myself a fan, even I didn't know about the Ritenour/Floyd connection until he told me about it himself during our first interview some 20 years ago.
Additional The Wall trivia, for anyone who never checked out that album's liner notes: among the backing vocalists hired for the album sessions were Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys, and Toni Tennille.
