Hey, you volunteered for this!!! Better start making coffee, Barb. We want the results as they come in!!!  :P

I've been refreshing for the last couple hours. It's not happening. I always follow HDD when Lifehouse puts out a new album, so I know they are done for the day. I would think there are other sources out there though. Right, SJ? :D

"Journey! Their new album, Revelation, sold over 100,000 copies last week!!!! That's fantastic news - and we'll know where it enters the charts tomorrow - probably in the Top 5. Great!"

Many Wal Marts across the country were not prepared for the wave of sales and popularity this album has garnered. That said, the sales will probably be 5-10 thousand (perhaps more) below what they could have been if stores had been properly stocked. I'm told Revelation is almost impossible to find in the Bay area. At any rate, the numbers are tremendous.

I decided to order a copy for my brother on June 3rd. It still hasn't gotten to him. Hopefully this means sales will be strong next week too.

DANG. Just from using WalMart? Holy crap. That's awesome. Whoda thunk?

Can't argue with results. Some may not dig the re-records, but it allowed the band to get their foot into Walmart's door and if these results are accurate, it's a huge score for Journey. Never thought I'd see Top 5 and Journey in the same sentence again.

Says it's the number 4 album. Amazing.

Same here in Central NY. I checked out one of the superstores in the area last night and there was a total of ONE copy in the store, as far as I could tell. End caps, display racks and the Journey section all empty! I did notice that they rolled back the price to $9.75, according to the signs. Pretty funny when you're kicking yourself for spending a whole twelve bucks for a 3-disc set thinking "I could've saved two more dollars!"

And in every WM I've stopped in over the past week, the DVD clips have been running continuously. Add this to the fact that the set was featured on WM's website homepage for the week prior to release, and there was just a ton of promotion for this one. As has already been said, never underestimate the power of the nation's (and the world's) largest retailer.

I gotta say, I'm happy for the guys. This is a ton of new exposure for a tremendous new album. It's gonna be great to see them so high in the charts again! It is kind of a shame that this kind of music retail synergy wasn't happening in the days of "Arrival".

Does anybody have the sales figures from last week? Maybe that would give us an idea of where it will debut.

Um, that's what we're all waiting for on this thread...

According to Kevin Shirley, it's somewhere in the 100,000 range. Awesome, just awesome!

I mean the current chart on billboard now, before Revelation was released.

It probably won't tell much. I know that Disturbed is the predicted #1 this week. You can't really go by the previous week's chart, as new albums are getting released all the time. All indications are pointing to a top 5 showing, though.

That's pretty freakin great. This has probably already been asked and answered, but I'm lazy. Is this the Adult Contemporary chart or general?

Caveman posted this on site:

However, I think that may have been copied earlier from HDD - looks like the same chart.
