Thanks, 78. I know, it's not a good win. I give Celtics a lot of credit especially their interior defense it's really impressive. Lakers big men (Gasol and Odom) are not effective inside, that's why they always rely on Kobe. Lakers got lucky this time.

Yep and Kobe can't carry the team against these guys. Sasha had a good game though!

I always love to see Sasha play, especially his defense. And he doesn't stop shooting even he's on slump. 8) If Lakers will win the next game, they will have their confidence back.

I didnt think it was badly ref'd game. typical NBA game. they were at home and the calls were what they were suppose to be in LA.

pretty amazing with the way garnett and pierce shot we were in this game and could have stole it. if one of them gave half of what they do it would have been ours. I never expected to win this game.

I am not one to predict and look into the future, but after seeing the first 3 games I really believe the celtics are gonna take one in LA. the lakers are just overmatched on defense. its amazing we played so bad and were in it. not a good sign for LA.

ugly game and the lakers didnt look good either.

The Celtics have NOBODY to blame but themselves for losing that game! First and foremost, that was an UGLY game, on both sides! It's easily the worst game the Celtics have played in the playoffs (I think their FG percentage was in the 30% range, which is simply inexcusable). I didn't think the Lakers played that well either, but Kobe and Sasha were IMMENSE! The bottom line for me is that if I'm the Lakers, I'm VERY concerned. The reality is that the Celtics actually could have won that game, and they played as poorly as they're going to play. The Lakers better win all 3 games in L.A., if they want any shot, at all. They have ZERO chance of winning two games in Boston! For selfish reasons, I'd like to see the Celtics win it in Boston (if they're going to win it). The last two championships by the Red Sox were both won on the road, and it's simply nowhere near as much fun. Maybe "The Staples Center" can bring them some luck. Afterall, it is a Boston based company, so maybe there will be some good karma in that place tomorrow night!

Alls I can say on this is.."You're right". I knew the Celts were going to lose that game before halftime. Would've been cool to see 'em win it in 4...but I'm still sticking with my Celts in 6 prediction.

Well then KG better get over his fear of crossing the three point mark....I love KG,
but he needs to start doing his job which is DRIVING to the basket!!! Granted, I just
saw a small portion of the actual game....but this is not the first time it has happened in these
playoffs, he's better than that!!! JFB is absolutely correct, they have noone to blame but them-
selves. However, once he overcomes this fear, LA better shape up if
they plan on beating them!!!

I agree with your premise of KG driving to the basket. I have been beyond frustrated watching Garnett take long-range jump shots, the entire playoffs! What the hell is this guy thinking???? Someone better tell him that he's 6'11" and that 6'11" guys don't have jump shots (unless your name was Kevin McHale). The guy needs to understand that when you're 6'11", your game MUST be played in the low post! He's the most dominant rebounder and defensive player of his generation, but these long-range shots simply have to stop!

Yeah, but its a good kind of stunned!

Heroic performance from the Celts. Very proud of what they've achieved. But its not over yet. My motto "Not until the fat lady sings". Well that's just me. 8)

I wonder what the L.A. papers would be printing after these amazing chain of events.

What it takes to win, Celtics motto?

Postby MarcelJordan » Fri Jun 13, 2008 2:57 pm

Check out this little article:

http://wbztv.com/sports/boston.celtics. ... 46590.html

They have learned what it takes to win on the road. It took them six tries, but they got it right. They have learned how to handle a hostile road crowd. They have learned what it takes to win crucial games and must-win games. Game Fives and Game Sevens. They have learned how to put away a team on the road and win a series.
