Any chance for a Journey music video?

Postby marijuana57 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:59 am

I am very eager to see a new music video of Journey when I went to buy the new CD yesterday. I haven't seen any single Journey foster saying they've got the new CD no airplay in radio,no news,no nothing as in nada.If they really like to push the sale of the new CD in Europe I guess a music video would be a better idea don't you think?Touring is nice and everything but the people who buy tickets are the people who new the band for ages with the new songs I can sense a huge potential worlwide. Well atleast to let other people to listen or maybe even like it only then I will think Journey's back again in the map. The interest of the masses are still in there especially with this new line up they're now drawing attention atleast in the US. But in here nothing yet but you'll never know and if ever they'll gonna' do a music video which song will it be...? :? I don't know really can't decide but I really like "change for the better" 8)
Con el nuevo Journey sigue siendo el mejor banda del rock...y despues de tantos anos la musica sigue vive...

I agree with your thoughts but they could also
use the added push here in the states.

I'm surprised Irv and the boys haven't
worked with WallyWorld to at least allow
footage from the DVD to be aired on channels
like VH1. Just release the performances ofNWA or WD and AATY,
try getting them into a good rotation...

That alone could send sales thru the roof.
Not to mention that, if people are digging
what they are seeing on Tv, the FM and Satellite
radio stations may take heed and give them a spin

Yup, I agree. Plus Youtube is already their global marketing machine.

You know, it would be pretty hialrious
if they did make a new video for, say,
NWA and just totally crack on themselves
by making it just like SW

I mean, really. These guys have been blasted for years
on how cheesey that video is. Why not have some fun
with it? Same pier, same camera angles and cheesey
shots...

Of course, Perry Fans and maybe even Perry himself
would think this disrespectful but I personally would LOVE IT

Just rethinking this a bit. What might work well would be audition or rehearsal footage. The Cinderella story sells along with the music.

Hell Yea!!!

Schonny doing the whole air guitar thing.
Cain, in gay 80's sport-coat, playing the keys glued to the wall.
Arnel, standing on a crate of course, singing the chorus
into the face of a tall, beautiful blonde... Charlize Theron maybe???

I think it's a great idea if it's done as a satire. Brilliant.

As long as its NWA or WD, I'd be laughin' as well.

Given the many parodies done of SW, it'd probably be a hit on youtube.

But if they used WDILYL, CFTB, FITH or WIN, I'd be pissed.

This might sound weird but I've seen a couple of their videos where they wore tight trousers and fitted shirt. I really like it a lot compared to videos nowadays that singers needs to be covered in bling bling and chicks needs to show of their bumper. Tsk tsk I don't know where do we go from here... :(

Haven't seen anything yet. Wonder if the youtube factor (free advertising) has curtailed plans for a vid?

Hell yeah, that's why Paris Hilton is on top of your list am I correct? We can call her a real singer eh?Anyway music today seems "bad" enough but it's all about image and not the talent they are selling. Sad but that's the truth

Why not...the whole band is a "satire" of itself anyway.

Dude,
Do you ever have anything positive to add/say???

You're not the only one that isn't completely happy
with the way this band has been ran for the past 20
years but at least some of us can move on...

Dont slag him too much, he's far from the only negative nancy around.

Some of us are trying very hard, but are still royally pissed at the band for the way canning SA and JSS was handled.

I get it.
HUGE Soto fan here and still not pleased at how things went down
But to just go into every thread possible to pick at and slam the band
gets tired...

Tell you what I've been hearing loads of funny stuff and seeing unhappy faces in here but that's LIFE. Nobody said that life can be easier and this forum is just a perfect example no wonder there is no peace in the world. But I'm glad you're one of those with positive outlook in life I guess  so I reckon just let them be and wish them happiness of the things that makes them happy. :D I didn't come to this forum to spread poisonous words or spread "virus" but to learn, entertained and have someone whom I can exchange opinions and stuff all for the love of MUSIC 8)

I'm a Perry fan, but I would LOVE to see a pisstake of the Separate Ways video for Never Walk Away.

But they need to find the original girl in the video.
