I just hope they continue to make even greater records because so much time has been lost since the feud between original lead singer and the rest of the band and there is still a great future without Perry. Band sure has no musical problems and they sure can teach a ton of lessons to all the young pretenders. I agree about the promotion. Hope it is not overlooked this time and band gets what it really deserves.
Good post and you're right on about the Higher Place thing...

My least favorite song is .. Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin.

I just think they over play that song soo much. There are so many other, better songs and they just beat the hell out of this one. I wish they would take it out of rotation in thier shows.

I have to many favorites to even list .. it would be pointless.

Save for Neal's guitar, I have to agree...put it to rest and play more Trial by Fire tunes!!!!

I also agree. I dont like this song much. I skip it often. But as mentioned, musicianship and vocals are top class.

Least favorite Journey song...Lovin" Touchin' Sqeezin' for sure.

A good, not a great song, but overplayed both on the radio and live. With so many other great tunes in their catalog I'd rather hear, they could drop this one in favor of something else and I'd be happy. Even a new song like Change For The Better would be prefered over LTS. Ugghh.

LTS probably. I really don't like Lights that much but I love hearing Neal on a Strat so I spare it.

haha....strangely I agree about ROR. This album has always been Steve Perry's second solo album with a much better guitarist in my book. I still like it, it's just the weakest journey album IMO. But even a weak journey album still trumps a lot of other bands.

Anything Neal sang. He always sounded like he had a headcold. A close second is All the Way....total pre-teen drivel.

Yes, you are right, on both counts! It IS sappy but I LOVE that song!

I could have done without All The Way and Nothin' Comes Close from ARRIVAL. ATW is (to me) a very predictable (safe) Journey ballad, hand picked by Sony, no doubt and NCC sounds too much like a Bad English leftover, in my opinion.[/quote]
I agree on this, also. ATW is a safe and predictable song for them to have SA sing (imitate like SP would have sung a ballad). Heck, it's not even written by Jon/Neal. Diane Warren, the ballad songmistress.

I can't say just one ...there is a few ..

Back Talk (duh)

Knowing That You Love Me (Maybe the worst song ever written by a human being, and Deen called it "The new Open Arms" before Generations came out)

Live and Breathe (just plain gay)

Positive Touch (fucking sax on a Journey song...Ok fine...But the song sucked without it, so the sax just made it suck more)

LTS. Even worse than Castles and BT.

LTS makes me want to projectile vomit.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Gone Crazy...It would be a great ZZ Top song but it doesn't belong on a Journey album.

I dunno...despite being a little too Boys II Men-ish I thought this was a pretty strong ballad.
I easily put this ahead of the slight "Turn Down the World Tonight," which everyone is going gah-gah over for some reason.
