Just to digress a little bit from serious discussion.....And to think that this incident immediately followed Neal's discovery of Arnel on You Tube--the story was quite amusing. It is a big challenge and pain for Filipinos to get U.S. visas in Manila. At least the last part of the visa story was confirmed by Arnel during Journey's interview by CBS on Sunday morning of June 1st (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89_2UivtEhs)--around 5:15 in the timer. Maybe it's just me--but this sequence of events seems to be so unbelieveably smooth---as if Arnel's destiny were planned and being orchestrated by SOMEBODY UPSTAIRS! I'm sure this will be discarded as funny, if not outright baloney, by some people in this forum. Again, I can understand that.

Whew!!! I'm new here---and I never intended nor expected to evoke such a deep-seated emotional outburst from a professional. I just shared a personal thought. I could not possibly say I understand how you feel, because I don't know enough of what transpired in the past...to justify most of what just said.

Related to what you said, I wrote a personal comment at Melodic.net on May 12th and also at Ellen Degeneres' site on May 30th regarding Journey's choice of new lead vocalist, and the last part of that piece goes this way:

I'm new here and so far...I'm quite enjoying my "STAY" here but it doesn't mean I don't know who is who, new and past happening and ofcourse the old and the new ones in here. I respect everyone in here old or new we all gathered in this very forum because of only on e reason JOURNEY hate or love them but it's the way it is... There's a fine line between love and hate or whatever that means to everyone really The bands past is already written and cast into stone no turning back and there's nothing we can do about that but still it's good to reminiscence sometimes it's like you're first love isn't it... I *don't* invest nearly as much time on this board (or any other board devoted to this fucking waste of a band) as you or some others here. if you think that my 'attitude' towards journey has affected my quality of life, you've got another thing coming...really. I've got a happy life, great kids, a wonderful wife...and an ipod filled with great music...and none of the either overly negative bullshit that happens here, or the falsely positive pipe dreams that counter it.

the folks that are in danger of suffering from life shortening stress are the ones that take this band way too fucking seriously....there's way too many examples here for you to have to look to far, but trust me....I'm not one of them. Journey's just *not* worth it anymore.

btw....Schon and Cain are horrible monsters...evil to the core. Really. They might have done great musical things 26 years ago....but that was 26 years ago. Now they're just trying to sap the gullable idiots that reside here and elsewhere, before they run out of opportunities to do so. If anyone that's going to have a 'life-shortening' event, it's the emotionally devoid fan that's been pining for a second of Neal Schon's time since early january, 1981. I feel sorry for the poor girl, when she gets to meet him some day in the near future, only to learn the guy is a completely ungracious bastard...and a sexist prick fuck to boot. Trust me, I've met the prick several times. He's a completely useless waste of oxygen. You can try to discredit what I say by saying I've got tireless angst that's going to do me in some day...really, that's laughable. It's just your way of diverting your own conflicted conscience from the truth. Most of you know he's a prick and an ethically challanged fucker that's looking to suck your last dime from your pocket....but you do your conscience good by trying to blame it on me...
