NO. Revelation didn't have a DROP of Studio magic. Holy FUCK. He's still singing "Coontraks an liars, Shopping dantown". HOW THE HELL CAN PEOPLE NOT HEAR THIS??

BTW...thanks for killing my favorite Journey song. I'll just listen to the Perry, JSS, and Augeri boots instead.

My favorite Journey song, by a mile.

Also agree Soto owned this song.

Not a bad performance from Arnel though- better than his earlier offerings of this song. Arnel actually looks a little more angry and agreesive on this song than he did in earlier peformance , which is what is needed when performing this song but still has along way to go to match the body language Soto and Perry exhibited on this song.

A "tall order" given AP's physical stature/make-up compared to the two.

wow, i dont sence an OUNCE of exageration here....sweet chickens, he says fuckin champagne. you guys will complain about ANYTHING. if Steve fuckin Perry came back everyone would complain cause he couldn't sing the high notes anymore.....I HATED the way Augeri pronounce words. Yes, Augeris accent annoyed me more than Arnels.

I hear it, who gives a shit? The dude got to the U.S. last December and you expect his accent to just disappear at the snap of a finger? That's not very realistic. My aunt moved to the U.S. from Germany over 40 years ago and she still has a bit of an accent. Personally I don't think it's the accent. I don't think you'd like Arnel if he was born and raised in Pearland.

The accent really doesn't bother me that much. I just think that alot of people associate Journey with an American alliance and it just seems odd to hear the accent on many of the songs.Dudes got pipes,no doubt, but the dictation is an issue for some.Thats why this is a public forum-- to allow both of you to voice your opinions.

Just pop in Disc 2 of the Revelation CD set for further proof of this.
It's not a deal breaker in a live concert setting, but on the DVD and Disc 2, it is very distracting.
That's what happens when a band leader afflicted with tintus picks the lead singer, I guess.
That said, Arnel sounds great here.

I really like the new Cd, and some of the Disc2. The Dvd sounded okay, I didnt like all the awkward jumping around, and I was wondering when he was going to blow out his voice. He gave it his awe, and I liked most of it. i just cant see him doing it all summer long, I hope he makes it.

I agree that EOTB became Jeff's song, but I am pleasantly surprised by Arnel's performance. He looked like he was having fun, too. Long live the purple shirt!

Notes and tone weren't my problem though. It seemed like he was making the WORDS up as he went along.

Forgive me...this is the MAIN song I will be VERY critical about.

No problems here. We all hear things differently. Yes, the words do need to be polished up. Nothing time shouldn't be able to fix.

The problem with this is that Arnel is trying to shake off his reputation as a cover band singer. I also see the odd comment from fans that Journey is just a tribute/cover band nowadays so I am not sure if performing another band's music is a good idea for them.
