Photos from Hammersmith

Postby MartyMoffatt » Thu Jun 19, 2008 5:22 pm

Here are some of the pics I got at the Hammersmith show on Tuesday. There are just over 100 images here. If you look closely, in the last pic you can see Jimmy Page by the mixing desk looking on (at least you can in the full res image, its a little small on this slideshow).

It was the first time I've seen Arnel in the flesh and some of his antics caught me by surprise. I'll be ready for him next time (tonight in Manchester) and hopefully will capture more of his movement around the stage and gravity defying leaps.

Nice pics. Would have liked to see more color photos instead of the artsy sepia, b&w renders.

Marty, nobody touches you in this department. Just incredible shots. I know you work hard on those.

Thanks for posting them here.

Awesome shots Marty!!

I'm a very newbie photography enthusiast and I'm going to the Wolverhampton gig. I'm seated at Row N and my lens is 70-300mm. Should I even bother bringing my camera or am I just going to waste my time? You reckon I can get some decent shots with that kit at that distance?

No my decision to go to Hammersmith was made the night before , & could only get a balcony ticket

I will be near the front in Cardiff though - stage left - infront of Neal Schon a few rows back. I may just have to have my monthly wash and hair comb just in case I can sneak my way in to Marty's photos! :D

Great pics Mr Moffatt you should be quite proud of em.
Love the shot of Neal, it's numbered 10 and the one of Arnel numbered 58.

Bloody brilliant Marty!
You are an artist. A genius even.

There's one where a cymbal almost frames Ross's head and makes it look like he has a halo!

Great pics.

Do they have barbers over there in Hammersmith? If so someone needs to give Deen directions because that mop is looking rough...Seriously though, great pictures!!!!

Great pics Marty. Arnel sure can't compete with Perry in the looks department though. Geez.

That's an unnecessary cheap shot. I couldn't give a flying crap what Arnel looks like.

Perry kinda looked dorky quite often with that huge schnoz and I've seen lots of comments elsewhere about how unattractive he was/is.

Arnel's stage jumps would make David Lee Roth blush. Jesus, he's gotta be 7 feet in the fucking air.
