Eh, just as long as theres wet bar within walking distance, the bar you're referring to doesn't hurt as much.

Yeah, it dulls the pain from the frying pan up-side the head a little bit, doesn't it?

Your wife does that to you too, eh?

The EVIAN = NAIVE angle always works well, so you might want to start by examining the hidden subtext behind the name Poland Springs...

tammy wrote:Then why does the water from a fountain in schools & hospitals taste so horrid? I've been getting water delivered since the 80s because I couldn't stand the taste of tap...plus, I grew up where we had well water where all this weird stuff was floating in it & so many times rusty water came out...that's where my coke habit began...so, I was all for bottled clear water. I do give my kids tap water for the flouride.

Tap water from state to state is not all equal, that's for sure, and I can't speak for well water. I know my parents used to bring a fat jug of "Memphis water" with them when we traveled out of state because they said it tasted better. By all means, use a filter if it helps the taste or extracts obvious impurities in your local water. Ours here is quite good, and I've literally poured out bottles of the wife's store-bought water that she'd put in the fridge after opening to take a sip, then replaced it with tap water and she never knew the difference. But even after pointing that out, it made no difference -- she continues to think bottled water is better while getting a new cavity each time she goes to the dentist (so I'm out the cost of filters, bottled water, and high dental bills).

The only thing I care about is people's fears that they are shortening their life or something by drinking good tap... LOL! Time for the myth to end!

P.S. -- I understand now that plastic bottles are suspect for the effects they have on our health, and even bottled water advocates are now recommending to get it from glass instead of plastic. Seems a little extreme and wasteful to me, though...

I never drink unfiltered water in our house. You should have seen our dishes when we went without a water softener for a couple of months earlier this year. They were all literally coated with a thick layer of crud.

Try the water coming out of the drinking fountain on the lakefront...always cold...always refreshing. If they could only bottle that stuff!

I'm going to come off totally weird here, but I hate slip -n-slide. I hate the feel of wet grass on my feet. I'm not a big dirt person.

There are a lot of people making references to "drinking from a garden hose" -- is this some kind of secret code or signal, like sliding your foot over into the next stall if you're interested in some restroom action?

We had lawn darts! I forgot all about those! We also had a game that my grandparents brought over from England, but I can't remember the name of it now. It was like tetherball, but the ball was a tennis ball and it had rackets. We spent HOURS playing that game every summer, and all of our friends thought it was cool because we were the only ones in the neighborhood who had one.

Lawn Darts and Badminton were the norm at our house during barbeques. along with the portable eight track player or the big console stereo cranked up so you could here it outside.
