WHY DOES JON CAIN.....

Postby Món » Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:02 pm

....look so fucking miserable all the time? I mean, for the last few years, you just can't get a camera shot where the guy's at least smirking.

I'm watching the Viña Del Mar gig with Arnel right now, and it comes to mind again. :?

I don't think he smiled onstage much in the 80s either.

That would make a KILLER Arnel smiley, especially if I give him the skullcap, and possibly a Nice Cup for all his naysayers!

Cain's always been stonefaced photographically.
Who cares?

What I find amusing is the back of the Revelation cover where Deen, Cain, and Valory are doing the typical rock star Easter Island Monument/tough guy/moody artist looks most bands do, but Neal is kind of smirking and Pineda is COMPLETELY breaking from type and is out front with a big unabashed grin :)

I love that. And there were probably a ton of photos taken for that back cover and they opted for that one.

Just watch your caller ID and don't answer if he calls.

I'm telling you his body language is in keeping w/ his liner notes, written BEFORE the huge success of the record.
That Journey still had "it."
And for that, given what has gone on at the registers and on radio w/ NWA and AATY the past 3-6 weeks I look at Neal's natural, laid back, relaxed (and quasi cocky) body language in that photo and raise my glass to him :D
He knew something, or as SteveW2 would say he was "up to something."

Jon reflects mood, age and still having to work . I think there was more to his recent statement that Perry's legacy was safe or already made.

He is always up to something when he gives 'the real deal comment" he s got a good singer that he can play his guitar riffs over{for the mean time} he is happy. When and if it fails, Im sure he has a backup vocal to fill Arnels place.Either way the "Journey" will coutinue like it always has .
