OT: BLONDIE EFFING RULES!!!

Postby TRAGChick » Tue Jun 24, 2008 8:32 am

Hey all....oh my GOD.

Saw Blondie last night @ the Nokia Theatre smack-dab in the middle of Times Square - the "Parallel Lines" 30th(??!!) Anniversary tour.....Debbie Harry looked AMAZING:

She had on a black, shimmery dress with vertical silver rectangles all over it ("Parallel Lines"... get it?) with matching arm-cuffs
and a diamond choker necklace - She looked like a Punk Marilyn Monroe!

Her voice was in AMAZING shape - SO much stronger than a few years ago....

Seriously....if you have a chance....GO SEE THEM! :D

Blondie's still going?

For some reason I thought they had a farewell tour last year. GO BLONDIE!

I'll have to check tour dates...

I have seen Blondie a couple of time. I really like her. Thanks for the heads up Trag. I will look and see if she is going to be near us.

So good to see that you had a great time Nora.
Did you wear that green and black lil number for
this show?, that dress is killer.

Seen Blondie 3 times over the last 25 years - used to have a 6 foot by 3 foot poster of her on my bedroom door - my god she was hot back in the day - but without selling herself like some of the younger ones these days - oh and of course she had/has considerable talent too! Hangin on the Telephone is an all time classic

BTW...when they pull back after the "arms in the AIR!" wave....that was how close I was:

Mark & I were on the raised platform:
We were DIRECTLY in front of her:

The Rolling Stones, the friggin' coelecanth of rock and roll, always charge triple digits for nosebleeds.. them being old doesn't make them discount a show now does it, captain?

Nora, I've never disagreed with you before, but I think she's awful.

And she has about as much business being in the ROR HOF as does the Mamas and the Papas and the Dave Clark Five.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

You can do it!

Ya know...KISS covered one of their songs on side 4 of Alive II. Ironicly enough, it's call Any Way You Want It.

Tom from Maui may have some words about this as well...He's a DC5 guy too.
