Leases are considered utilized if oil is actively being pumped from the lease. Leases that are in development, being explored or don't have the well actively pumping are considered inactive, so it is a false statistic in terms of what is actively being done on those leases.

Have you ever looked into what a gallon cost when the democrats won control of congress? Skyrocketed since then.

Wow, great spin action you got on that one. It's like the spin I put on my bowling ball. Too bad yours went right into the gutter.

Do you agree the main cause of gas prices is supply and demand?

Nope, bullshit politics is driving up the price of oil. We have oil, but we can't drill for it. Funny, China can but we can't. Unfuckinbelievable.

Hey Rick, I just got a check in the mail for $5,480.00....if I negotiate it, the Co. that sent me the check is going to drill on my property so many feet deep, blah, blah!! If they strike oil I get 20% of the profit.....got anything like that going on in TX? I'm getting checks from several different companies, it's happening all around me. I'm SIGNING NOTHING!!!

If you own your mineral rights, you're a very lucky person. Not many here do.

Well in another 10 years gas will probably be over $12 a gallon. How about we save that oil til then? If you're defending his veto and siding with the environmentalist movement you have ZERO right to make a peep about gas prices.

I'm not siding with environmentalists at all. I think the environment is an important issue however. They're completely overprotecting. There is an equilibrium between all of it, and they need to back down because they have the seesaw all the way down on their side.

Nobody knows what the price of gas will be 10 years from now. If we use our resources wisely, as we should be now, we can make the price one that everyone can afford.

Which congress was it that went along with relaxing these restrictions ? I'd really like to know.

Nope, this is actually the truth - the regulations were COMPLETELY changed since under Clinton. Without the speculators the price would be about $2.25 a gallon.

This was actually one of the laws upon which Bush chose to utilize his "Presidential Powers of non-compliance" that aren't supported Constitutionally.

Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

This appears to be the typical argument from liberals toward conservatives. And I must side with the latter.

If you live within your means, save for the future, and be realistic in everything you do, then today's high prices - although painful for all - can be very tolerable.

Money does grow on trees. Grow your own damned tree. Don't feel entitled for someone else doing it for you. Your neighbor won't, and government shouldn't. Take responsibility for your own well-being, damnit.

Life is good...because I make it that way.
