The Omega Man was a good one. The 10 Commandments, The Wizard Of Oz was always watched at our house. Any of those corny Batman movies. Loved those. Bullitt. John Wayne and the Cowboys. The Hills Have Eyes. The Exorcist. But the favorite was probably Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Huge Wizard of Oz fan here. It was always an event to watch that once a year when it came on TV. I was so excited to buy it for my daughter on DVD, but she doesn't have the same enthusiasm. I also loved Benji. I remember seeing that at the theater with my dad and brother and crying when I thought Benji was dead.

First one I ever rember loving was Raiders saw it w/ mom and sister New Year's Eve 1981. Did NOT want to go, wasn't intersted at all.
My mom said "there are fights in it" and the rest is history :)
Next was Rocky III. I think, like August of '83 RIII came to "PRISM" a Philly premium cable channel. Played all month, I watched it all month and for the next 2 or 3 Augusts wondered why it was RIII month again on Prism.

PS: The first 2 Phantasms are where it's AT 8)

My mom had me kicking and screaming as I entered the theatre to see The Blues Brothers. I couldn't possibly like a movie like that. One of the best I've ever seen. 8)

I remember seeing that in the theater, too. The car chase scene blew me away. Love it when they're driving through the mall with the cops on their tails, and Jake notices a store with baby clothes. "This place has everything."

But to me, the movie with the most LOL moments is The Jerk, with Young Frankenstein first runner up.

"The Other"? Wasn't that the one where there was a bratty kid that jumped from a hayloft and landed on an upright pitchfork? I still carry that icky image.

The Day the Earth Stood Still. I was flippin' through channels the other day and saw it again. Now it seems more funny than scary, but back in the day it was creepy!
