OT- iTunes/iTunes store question?

I don't use the iTunes store very much but earlier this year I got a few iTunes gift cards for my birthday so I decided to spend them very wisely... on some Melodic Rock, of course!

I got Danny Vaughn's Traveller, Line of Fire, and Bonrud.

HOWEVER, just the other day I was feeling some LoF, and I went to go jam out to it but all of a sudden my iTunes had something pop up saying my computer was unauthorized to play this file?!

I was curious, and tried every song from every album I had iTunes'd and none of them would play due to the same reason. How could this computer (the one I bought the music on) suddenly be unauthorized to play the songs? I'm pretty confused and miffed right now and any help would be killer.

The same thing happened to me when I created an iTunes account.
You should be able to authorize your computer by clicking on "store" and selecting authorize computer. That's what I did.
If you've tried that already and it's still giving you crap I have no idea what's wrong. Sorry.

Yes, this is true of some files. Another nice thing Amazon has is every Friday they have 5 MP3 album downloads at $5 each. They choose the 5, and they are not just junk. Picked up Fleetwood Mac's Rumours this week for $5. They also run a daily special of a single MP3 album ranging from $1.99 to $3.99. They had Coldplay's "Rush of Blood to the Head" last week for $1.99. Sweet deals!

As for copy protection on iTunes, you can burn the files as a regular CD, then change your settings on iTunes to rip as MP3's instead of iTunes files (MP4) and they'll load up to any MP3 player...

on iTunes, if you download from iTunes as MP4, there is an option to convert the file to MP3...go into your settings and select your bit rate, then when you right click any given MP4 track in iTunes, you'll get the option to "Convert Selection To MP3"...

iTunes will convert them to MP3...it's in your Settings and Right-Click menu on individual tracks...
