I think AP has a great voice and does very well on the new songs, but I could only listen to the re-records once...just can't get past this whole deal & the songs sounded "off". SP was co-creator & embodied those words & melody and put them out into the world - that means a lot. If we go with analogies (I can't compete with BJG & Rhi - lol) think of a Picasso or Degas and a reproduction painting. Which would you rather have?

Whilst singing is not painting, if the same subject was painted by different artists some would prefer the Picasso, others the Rembrandt. Technical skill doesn't always figure in as much as what is pleasing on the eye to the individual - or in Journey's case pleasing to the ear.

Of course, it is all subjective...even what you would consider to be art, but the way I look at the re-records is not any different than a painter copying a famous painting. One is the real deal and the other isn't. It would be different if there were two artists sitting down and viewing a subject and interpreting it differently on the canvas, but that isn't the case here. Somebody had the original vision and created it from nothing (Perry) and someone else is just making a copy.

Centreport is a group of apartments and businesses on Trinity, East of 360.
Diggin that airplane noise over there?I used to live in an apartment on Trinity (Post Oak Place I think) and it sounded like the wheels were just missing the rooftops. Holy shit it was loud. You couldn't turn the tv up high enough to hear it.

I know the area...I used to go to a sports bar called "Upper Deck" located right on Trinity a little west of 360.
I live on the north side near the Harwood exit on 360.
I'm used to the airplanes....I don't really even notice it.... Being able to cut through DFW is pretty cool though during heavy traffic times.
Ever go to Dukes ?

Never been in Dukes. I've heard many stories from people at work though. I'm far better off keeping my butt out of places like that. It's right across the highway from me though, if I ever decided to go, I could walk home.
