It robbed me of years without music from my favorite band, and he stole years of career life from the other members by his unwillingness to not be able to let go because he was grossly irresponsible in taking care of himself. Herbie had it right..."If I can't go on nobody can." Selfishness, plain and simple...just like Tapegate. But at least I have some fond memories and met some great people...not just a musical void.

Perry's still got the moral high ground here.

While no one is innocent I'll take the guys that made mistakes because they were trying to make it work...you can take the guy who was trying to destroy it and stick your moral high ground about 12 feet (or halfway) up his Giza beak nose.

It's hard to even give 2 shits about the lineup at this point. Arnel could be the second fucking coming of Perry, Muhammad and Jesus Christ all wrapped into one...and it doesn't change the fact that he's now the 3rd replacement singer in a sad, desperate history of a band with failed morals and objectives. I wish Arnel the best....but sadly, what he stepped into is a fucking circus act now, nothing more nothing less.

After this weekend, the last thing I would want to see him in.......is Journey........singing Perry's songs for the rest of his career. Now he can spread his wings. He got more vocal on some songs I noticed this time then from last time I saw a show of his........like that soulful motown-feel intro to I'll Be Waiting. I have a feeling I'm going to really like this upcoming CD. Soto at his solo, soulful, groovy best!

I've never understood this obsession so many Journey fans have with touring. You catch one, maybe two shows and hear the same songs you've heard for a quarter of a century and then nothing for a year or two.

An album on the other hand is the really big deal...and I don't give a shit what they call it but Perry, Schon and Cain in the studio together would be pure gold and everyone knows it.

He's just done too much in the form of firings, legal wrangling, road blocks, gag orders, touring with others, destroying lineups, "injuries" and so on since 1986. Nothing has changed other than my view of him as a bandmate...or should I say, lack thereof.
