OT- Need a reason to celebrate something today?

Postby Angiekay » Fri Jul 04, 2008 2:05 am

YES!!

July 3rd Is Naughty America Day

Americans celebrate Independence Day but the naughtiness that inspired the brave patriotic act has been given short shrift. Until now. July 3, 2008, marks the inaugural "Naughty America Day," a day for Americans to celebrate their collective naughtiness by teasing and flirting with their fellow citizens. Naughty America Day is the brainchild of the Naughty American, a Website that features daily news and commentary focusing on the adult film industry and the naughty aspects of America and American popular culture. Spokesman David Moye says, "By nature, Americans cheerfully challenge the status quo. For instance, the Declaration is one of the naughtiest documents in human history. It basically tells the king of England to shove it." And the best way to celebrate the day? Moye says, "Flirt with your boss, ask a homeless guy if you can borrow a dollar, take the entire family to lunch at Costco to snack on free samples, go to a sporting event and root for the opposition, or ask your parents about their sex lives."

I just so happen to have the day off!
(Minus this one hour or so I've been guilt tripped into working...
earning brownie points so I can go on trips this summer. Paying dues suck.) :P

July 2nd was "Fuck Dan In The Ass With A Telephone Pole Day." :x Not only did I have to replace the thermostat and some wiring on the central air unit in the condo that my tenant leases, but I was also informed that the central air unit in my house needs to be completely replaced. Then I open the fucking mail and find out that my condo association is putting a new roof on the joint and that it's going to cost $600 per owner. This sucks.

My younger brother is a heat and air guy and he was telling me a story about some company telling my Dad that all three of his units on this restaurant building he owns needs to be replaced. Little bro goes out there and fixed all three of them for under $400.00

Also, I thought the association fees covered stuff like that. So you don't get hit with improvement bills. Granted, $600 is a great price for a roof, but wtf? I call horse hockey on that one.

Poor Dan, lol. Hey if it makes you feel better our AC needs to be replaced too, luckily our neighbor is super nice & does AC's & recharged it for now, & the only payment he would accept from us was a case of Michelob Ultra, lol.

Our association fee only covers garbage, snow removal, lawn maintenance, insurance and pest control. That's probably why it's only $100 a month. I really can't complain...but I'm gonna anyway!!! :) We were given the option of paying the firm that oversees our association $100 a month for 6 months or 1 lump sum now or at the end of 6 months. I'm going with the 6 months from now plan!!!

I was paid a 12er of Michelob Ultra for fixing a computer, and that is some really good beer. Chick beer or not. I just go for the standard, more moderately priced beer.

Summit is the best beer ever. An old boyfriend got me hooked on it. I have a really hard time finding it anywhere, but it's the best I've ever had. German wheat beer... heifewiesse... I think that's what it is.

No, but it might be a little step away from the Buds, Michelobs, and Millers of the world. Great taste. Not stout and bitter like cheap German imports.

Try it. :)

I don't like beer so I have no clue what is "chick" beer & what isn't  My brother likes that too though, he's a big firefighter dude, but I'll have to tell him that's chick beer! :P

We just replaced one of the central air units in our house (that's what sucks about having 2 units--2x the expense!) a few weeks ago. My husband is building a house (that we will be selling or renting out), and he has reached the "really expensive" phase of building. Plumbing, HVAC, drywall, fixtures, electrical, the list goes on and on. We also have another house with great tenants in there, so all we need is for something to go wrong there! The kicker is that I had NO work in May, and not enough in June, and I haven't been paid yet for any of the work in June. Too bad the money tree in the backyard is dead!
