You've gotta watch it for a really long time. After a while, it molds with your brain activity, ceasing all thought processes and puts you into a trance. When and IF you finally come to, you'll probably have an urge to eat ramen noodles and smoke weed.

Yeah, I did all that, just never got to the end of it.

Did you see the naked indian? If you follow him he takes you to Jim Morrison. At that time you will be told the meaning of your life.

Try again.

It's pretty good actually
has some weaker spots & diction lisps but all in all the guy can sing.

They have found someone with similar voice quality who is in that range so good for them
Arnel seems like a good guy deserving a break so I wish them well.

BTW
Cheesy video but it just sort of grows on you
like when someone does something over the top it becomes hilarious & brings a smile to your face!

It's a parody of themselves
So have fun!

I think this is my official cue. A bunch of you asked me to post this weeks ago.

Its a year old and it started as a joke on Franks old board about them trying to fire the singers as far back as the 80s.

(and dear god people, don't quote this... its huge....LOL!!!)

That's hilarious!

Love it!

Hey what was that exhaust pipe under Jon's keyboard?
Guess that means he has a lot of hot air.

Smith has hub caps for cymbals.
Guess Herbie ate too much of the profit on that one & had to improvise.

Thanks for the Laugh!

Diction issues are painful, and Arnel's delivery is too eerily close for comfort.
So much so, in fact, that the slightest deviation from the Perry-renditions now stand out in even starker contrast.
Like I said before, Neal picked the low hanging fruit.
In the future, maybe the lead singer vetting is best left up to someone who isn't tinnitus-afflicted and drunk by noon.

Been away... catching on what's up.
Must admit, since I have yet to hear any of the re-records, I clicked on to hear how Arnel did with this song. Pretty good, really, ... didn't notice any accent or diction problems with my ears.
Now, those yt comments from the Arnelites -- disrespecting SP and SP fans -- are another matter.
"Perry only sang those high notes using falsetto" - WTF? Do these "new" Journey fans even know what they're talking about?!!!! Why can't they just enjoy the ride (however long it lasts) and leave SP and his fans alone.

I have to agree with you there Annie, having lived in the R.P. I noticed that a lot of filipinos actually sing in falsetto so this is basically the pot calling the kettle black. Arnel is one of the few I have heard actually sing in a full voice so he is the exception rather than the rule. Concerning some of the over the top comments Arnel fans make, I put it down to over enthusiasm. 3rd world countries need heros and besides the boxer Pacman, Arnel gives them that special some one to feel proud about.

Sad but from some the of things we say
make us seem like an unenlightened species.

Why must we put down someone in order to exhalt another.
Why can't something stand on its own merits
without having to tear down the world around it
It really is a sign of weakness.

I've been thinking about the voice.
Sure there are always better voices
but what makes a great performer
is their ability to make you feel the song.
That is the true gift!
We just don't all feel the same way
& that's OK!

Thanks for reposting this - absolute classic!
