Jer doin' good but a couple disappointments on the music. Sorry guys if you're reading but:

The metal guitar sound not needed.

The keyboard intro beginning SW sounded kinda weak. Not the wrong notes, just not very strong and clear sounding. Maybe it just wasn't coming through well.

Drum solo was too much of a Peart imitation.

Overall it was pretty good though. Good site, thanks for the link up Jer.

Jeremey,

Thanks for the post, I'm having a listen now. Wow, the vocals sound like a raw feed without any effects on the broad cast. Cool ...

Thanks for tuning in folks! Had a blast here in Jacksonville. Not sure how the feed sounded, obviously it wasn't going to be like what you hear here at the venue, but it was a cool experience nonetheless....

The feed was amazing, I put headphones on the computer and DAMN! I loved it!!!!! I feel like I've seen you "live"!

Now, what do you do between now and tomorrow night to get your voice ready for the next 3 hour show?

There were a ton of us online, btw!

I knew the band was "new" but did not realize it had only been 5 weeks!

(PS - agree on the guitar. Seemed more metal than melodic....JMO)

I think some are getting the guitar solo Kenny does, which I asked him to do whatever he wanted to, with the rest of the show. Kenny's settings are actually identical to Neal's and he's using the same effects processor, so the "tone" issue may have been the music feed. But the show itself is pretty much right on, aside from his personal guitar solo, which he does to entertain the customers, not to imitate Neal.

I thought Frontiers did a good job tonight. I tuned in about halfway through. I was able to hear the show, but only realized after some time that I needed to register to chat. You didn't need to register to hear the show...just to chat. Anyway, Jeremey obviously was winded a bit through the last 1/3 of the set...which was a pretty fucking demanding set!!! He went sharp and flat on a few of the tougher vocal parts, but that's understandable. He was particularly good on Chain Reaction and WYLAW...especially considering they were so late in the set. BGTY and ATL were a bit of a miss, though. Tough, tough songs, especially late in the set. I can't comment on the first 1/2 of the show or so because I didn't hear it!!! I'm sure it was much more solid and consistent as his voice was fresh. Thank you for the live cast. It was fun. 8)

That explains it! In the feed it sounded really piercing, whereas during the songs Kenny sounded melodic. Probably the one aspect of the feed that was "off". The rest was great, totally clear. Do you always do three hour sets?

I thought he was giving good constructive criticism. I don't think he was taking the piss, St. John's posts have been pretty supportive of Jeremey.

Agree!!

I agree too. It was very obvious especially in a few of the last songs that Jeremey was struggling. But we were all supportive of Jeremey and knew that it was a long show and it would be rough on anyone. He did a very good job considering!
