That explains why it smells like burnt hair and acorns.

Also explains why I've been rolling around in butter.

Good lord. What next?

They are going to ban the name "Friga" because it rhymes with the "N" word.

I think what defines a man or a woman is whatever makes that man or woman happy.

Hey, not at attack, just a conversation. :D

Oh, no... not taken that way, and I probably could explain what I mean better. Heck, even the term "feminization" might not be the best description to use, because there are some tough girls out there! I think when I really examine it, here's what I see is the problem -- people are becoming more dependent on authority figures for solutions, and less capable of resolving problems themselves. And now we've gotten to a point where people even look for higher intervention when they get called a name they don't like. I quit doing that when I was 6 years old... haha! Now, if someone can't take being called a name, or even hearing a term that they find "offensive", how the hell will they defend themselves from a physical attack? Could be a terrorist or a mugger on the street.

Here's one thing that's for damn sure, and that is non-debatable -- we're never going to have a Gene Roddenberry Utopian society where everyone is respectful of everyone else, and those at the tip top get there by taking advantage of and stepping on other people. They DEPEND on the weak to stay weak to suit their own ends. Could be politicians, could be large corporate CEOs, whatever... Best thing people can do is quit catering to philosophies which only lead to them being taken advantage of and manipulated, get educated, and get tough...

This is way too huge a conversation to really summarize, and has so many facets. Heck, I was talking to a girl yesterday about how to define boundaries in the workplace so your company doesn't take advantage of you. Some people think they are just being "good, loyal employees" by working off the clock at all hours and never saying no, and their companies will let you do this if you let them do it to you. They also generally will respect your boundaries if you set them early on. Doesn't have to be much more than, "Man, I really can't -- my family depends on me in the evening..." Whatever.... Otherwise, people are just letting their employers effectively decrease the value of their time. People should calculate what their hour is worth if they constantly work overtime off the clock. Just an example. Me, I often work 60-hour weeks, but I get compensated for everything I do, and that's the payoff.

The world will always have the aggressors and the passive folk, and the best way to make it thru life is to find out how to deal with people and situations effectively, and often in a language they understand, else the world will chew you up and spit you out. That's just life...

I agree 97%. LOL

Next time you're in town, we can talk about that 3%. ;-)

Letting anyone tell you how to live, your boss, your government, your significan other or anyone is simply alien to me. But again, a great topic for another day.

I hope you're having a great weekend.
