Well, Poison SUCKS donkey balls.

Def Leppard's entire catalogue through "Euphoria" is brilliant and unassailable.

Michaels is right to lampoon them for the farce on "DWTS". But he is a LOUSY songwriter, and CC Deville is the worst guitarist this side of Stone Gossard.

Now it's Rockett's turn:

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett has posted his response to Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott's comments at a June 6th press conference at the Sweden Rock Festival, in which Elliott said bands like Poison and Motley Crue had "no substance in their music" and therefore relied more on their image in the '80s. Rockett questioned Elliott's rock historian credentials in his posting, and wrote, "I'd be hurt if this were coming from John Lennon... So it takes about one minute and 45 seconds to put on eyeliner. I suppose during that same time you were writing the next 'Imagine'."

Poison has all the musical credentials of a proverbial slingshot-toting David doing battle against the Mongols.

Oh, no. Ricky Rockett is firing back! Look out!

Dude you give him too much credit by spelling his name R-I-C-K-Y. He spells it R-I-K-K-I, if that doesn't make you laugh....last name R-O-C-K-E-T-T. Case Closed.
Rikki Rockett just made Elliott's case by even existing much less commenting.

He and his band are an embarrassment to the entire industry.

Some woman I used to date gave me a ticket to see them once, and they were awful. Then Deville came out and sang some horrendous piece of shit called "The Only Bone In Your Body I Like Is Mine." I told my date I was going to leave, whether or not she came. She did, and then she did a few times that night, but she wound up dumping me for an Applebee's waiter I would have sworn was gay.

I used to like this too, but after they used it as the theme song on Rock of Love.....it feels so trashy!!!

Thankfully I never once watched a minute of the show, so it's still pure for me. 8)

Their only lyrically and musically significant song was "Theater of the Soul".
