OT-School of Rock 2

I loved the first one, really looking forward to this one!

Jack Black will reunite with director Richard Linklater and screenwriter Mike White for School of Rock 2: America Rocks. Per E! Online, the sequel to the 2005 comedy hit finds Black's substitute teacher/diehard rocker Dewey Finn taking a group of summer school kids on a cross-country trip to explore rock 'n' roll's roots in blues, R&B, country and folk music.

not a big fan of Jack Black.

I heard about this today...and while I thought the first one was pretty good, I just don't see a sequal being that good. Just, didn't end on the note where I felt like a sequal would even be a good idea.

Sequels are RARELY as good as, let alone better than, the original...2 exceptions being The Empire Strikes Back and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.

I love all of those, except for American Pie. I couldnt' get as much into those. Too much a teen movie I think. My husband loved those too of course, so it must be a guy thing.

Regardless , My point was that all those sequels are better than the original

That Tenacious D movie sucked big time, tho. Really disappointing.

That movie made sense if you had listened to their songs from their few cds back in early 2000s,,,,
Also, in order to enjoy that movie, you need to have at least a beer in one hand and preferebly a doobie in the other hand :lol:

Imagine my embarassment when I found out rather recently that Ricardo Montalban's chest in TWOK was FAKE!!!!!! I thought the guy was ripped and damn hot for an old dude.

It was all a sham......

The 2nd and 3rd Pirates of the carribean movies were, IMHO, better than the original.
Clerks II BLOWS away the first....in both production and humor.

Hellboy II is far superior to the original as well.
