Tell us what you’re gonna do tonight, mama.
There must be someplace you can go
In the middle of the tall drinks and the drama,
There must be someone you know.

God knows, you’re lookin’ good enough,
But you’re so smooth and the world’s so rough.
You might have somethin’ to loose.
Oh, no, pretty mama, what you gonna
Do in those shoes?

Man, have you ever seen his show? And I don't mean Growing Pains. I mean the one where him and his parter roam the streets grilling people abut their way of life and no matter how you answer their questions, they condemn you to hell. I have a dream that Kirk comes up to me on the street one day and tries to Way-of-the-Master me. He will walk away in tears, I guarantee it.

There's an interactive Kirk Quiz on his website too.

LOL! I have never seen that show, but have heard of it. Sounded kinda like a hardcore "Scared Straight" approach to witnessing. I honestly admire Kirk Cameron for his faith and all that he's done in his life, but from the descriptions I heard, the show sounded gimmicky, and I just don't want any gimmicks mixed in with faith -- it cheapens it to me. I would guess that whatever happens in the final cut of each episode has been edited to maximize drama, etc, just like any reality show, so for me... no thank ye! But I like Kirk Cameron, though!

Actually, I just watched a clip, and at least that one wasn't really that bad, but they do use a gimmicky formula --- it seems like they are trying to do the right thing as they understand it, though.

And while the motive and desire is coming from good intentions, the live and let be approach is so much more rewarding.

I have no problems with witnessing at all, and admire those who have the courage to do it in today's world. The sad thing from my perspective is, people are just more close-minded that ever before about any and everything. Some of it is probably due to poor societal influences and underdeveloped character, and a lot is probably that we've just been overmarketed to, to the point that we don't want to be approached by anything (except a new Dokken CD, of course). Heck, I was back at the suit shop yesterday goofing around and trying on tux tops, and I asked the guy helping me if anyone ever wore a jacket like that with jeans... I thought it would look sweet! His answer was, "Man, technically not, but who knows? These days, people just do whatever they want to, and you can't tell them anything." He's so right...

The one show I happened to see, the topic was homosexuality.
By the time it was over I could absolutely not believe what I'd just seen.
It was like watching Archie Bunker without the humor.

Check out the website... they ask seemingly innocent questions and no matter how you answer, they find some twisted logic as to why its a sin and you're going to spend eternity in hell. That's way too much for me. I know I'm a good person regardless of the fact that I stole a .03 pice of Bazooka gum from the corner store when I was a kid. But this is getting into a potential religious debate now, and I wish not to go there.

In more interesting news than Kirk Cameron, I have just come from purchasing a fabulous wrap and evening bag for Saturday. 8)

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I'm getting there! Have to reserve a few important things for the last minute scramble, though, because I think I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush of last-minute travel preparations... haha! Got a tux arriving tomorrow that may need to be slightly altered, and that will be an adventure in itself....

I've been meaning to ask if anyone will be video capable -- I have a BRAND NEW killer hard disk camcorder that I bought a few months back, but I've barely taken it out of the box... Not sure I want to bring it or not. As long as it stays in the box unused, I can guarantee it won't get dropped or scratched.

Did someone say "afterparty"? I think some of us are going to see 7th Heaven play nearby right after JttC. Are there other plans in the works, too?
