Yes, yes, yes.
His coming to the band spurred this huge comeback they've GOT to preserve him.
Pineda, speak up, get CastroHulkHair to help out, pull out all the stops to keep this guy healthy.

I'm saying nothing about Deen's hair.
Stevew2 says Deen is trying to copy mine.

Now that you mention it....hmmm

Totally agree that a person can have an off-night.

Personally, I'm simply worried for the guy. This is not a slam on Arnel, not a comparison to Perry or anything like that. That's a murderous catalogue to sing every sing and has now destoyed the voices of two killer singers.

Arnel is a fantastic singer and I hope his ideally long career isn't cut short by some murderous catalogue/touring schedule combination.

right on the money. the ironman stuff is purely absurd !

this is not a contest of who can last longer on singing but rather a sentiment on preserving and taking care of a singer, not killing him. I wonder why some people are so ass about who's better. purely child stuff.

Journey, who I like to refer to as the Mafia Hit Men of Rock and Roll, seem to knock off lead singers left and right!!! I think, we, the fans, are more concerned about Arnel's voice!!! Yes, everyone has an off day, but it's never too early to take precaution!! Now, as far as childishly fighting over who's number one~Silly, everyone knows the answer to that!!!!

Take some drum lessons sing like Perry, we wont have to worry about Arnel. .You hair looks more electrifing the Deens. I had the theory about using the rerecords as a backup as soon as I heard they were going into the studio. Background vocals are taped anyway I wouldnt put it past them. They do that before cancelling or giving him any kind of break. could be an off night or piece of bad beef

My co worker went to the show at Verizon last night ( I'm waiting for the Greek Theater show ). He didn't detect anything wrong with Arnel's voice. He said it sounds so much stronger than the show he watched at Vegas. Also Arnel apparently did the whole set with out Deen singing anything. If Arnel was having problems the night before I wouldn't think they would skip on Deen from singing one or two songs.
A new thing he noticed is that Arnel has developed a baritone speaking voice that when he talks you don't have strain to hear, unlike some moments at the Vegas show, and he has dropped the timid act and shows more confidence on stage. In summary, maybe he had a few hiccups the night before but everything seems alright now.

I'm gonna send Arnel some sage teabags.
And Deen some hair product. we need to tame that hair down a tad.

Not trying to start a comparison thing here but, I have always been amazed at how well SP held up singing these songs night after night. You have to remember, he did all the touring singing WITHOUT the high-tech, in-ear monitor systems and "reasonable" stage volume levels. When Perry toured, they were at SCREAMING stage levels! Especially in the late 70's / early 80's.

Very significant facts in the deterioration of a singing voice.

Gunbot, who's that rather attractive young female in the av?

Day after day, there she is in yet another state of glorious undress.

Me too. Ages ago someone posted up the Journey touring schedules and the number of dates and the lack of time off between them really made you think.
Add all the travelling to that, and it was some achievement.

Damage was done, but were lessons learned?
Not for Augeri, obviously, but let's hope they have been learned for Arnel to benefit from.
If another Journey singer's voice gets knackered we really are going to have to call in the Social services.
Or send in our Sicilian relatives.

I think it's bullshit to book shows on consecutive nights. I think it's irresponsible of Neal and Jon to not take care of Arnel. I think right now Arnel would do anything to please them and might not be as objective as he should be.
I guess if you don't learn from the past, you're doomed to repeat it.

Which is why I said earlier, if Arnel is struggling for whatever reason, I hope he speaks up.

If he needs some help and they do not deliver, then they really do need their arses kicking.

And anyway, they should know the warning signs by now.
If there ARE any, of course. This is just speculation.
