Gimme humidity and the sweat that seeps from our skin!.....I LOVE IT!

Well, with the humidity described, at least it's not a dry hump!

Can I request a huge pile of extra napkins for our table?
I think there's gonna be a lot of alcohol spewed about.
No one make me laugh while I'm drinking. I hate to waste good (by which I mean free) booze.

LOL -- Thanks for the forewarning, and we'll make sure you have a nice seat on the opposite side of the table from me and my tux! LOL! Speaking of which, I just picked up the black Italian suit I bought the other day, and it's been tailored to perfection -- I'm really looking forward to wearing it at the first opportunity, but always fear the occasion won't be celebratory. :( Heck, maybe I'll request to be buried in it myself! I might just drop dead of exhaustion on my return home from Chicago... I'm not anticipating much if any rest... LOL!

On closer inspection, I worry that this tux was designed for a male stripper, because both the jacket and pants have velcro tear-away seams... that isn't normal, is it?

Depends. What's the resistance factor on the velcro? Tear away with teeth or would one have to use her hands?

Hey, ya know, "DrFU" is kind of a perfect James Bond villain name, and I'll kinda be dressed like James Bond. Maybe we can sit across from each other at a casino table and make snarky comments back and forth in European accents, like in Casino Royale!

We're down to less than 48 hours to the ball. Safe travels to everyone coming in for it. To those of you driving in, be aware that rush hour on Fridays in Chicago starts by 3:00 at the latest, and lasts until at least 7:00. Traffic will be horrendous. Make sure your gas tank is full when you hit the area because you'll be spending a lot of time viewing the same scenery for a long time.

VERY VERY good points. In fact, kids, avoid all Tollways and Expressways at all costs. If any of you are flying into O'Hare and going to Schaumburg/Rolling Meadows, and you're arriving during rush, I reccomend you take Mannheim Road north and head west on Oakton Ave, following it to Higgins Road and then onto your destinations. A right on Arlington Heights Rd and a left onto Algonquin will put you in Rolling Meadows and you can then take a left onto Golf Rd to head into Schaumburg. I've lived here for a few months now and I have yet to set tire on an interstate during rush. One tollbooth alone (namely the one where the Kennedy turns into the Jane Addams outside O'Hare) can take upwards of 90 minutes during main rush.

Good luck kids, and remember, speed up to make the yellow light. Three cars will always turn left as the light is turning red. Keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you.

LOL! You hoser! This is a pic of Rip 15 minutes ago goofing around with the timer on his camera when making sure it's juiced up and ready for the trip. I barely made it in front of the camera in time, and am surprised it didn't turn out much worse.

Oh my gosh, Rhiannon is right. I was to take I-90 out of O'Hare, ended up missing that turn. Continued on 294 towards Milwaukee and that was wall to wall traffic. Then sat still for 45 minutes while they cleared an accident. Wasn't fun, wasn't pretty. I would definitely take her advice on hanging with Mannheim!

Oh boy, sorry to hear that! 294 is utter chaos from now until 2010 while they do the bridge rebuilding. Bless your heart, Val! Well, hopefully a few will see my suggestion and heed the warning and take my way, not the highway! (Ba dum cha!)

ROFL!

But she's right. Anyone coming in for this... stay the ever loving fuck off 294.
Its under major construction and there's no good time of day to be anywhere near it.

If you do get a little confused and have to stop and ask, make sure you say "What's the best way to get _____ using MAIN streets and not any of y'alls fucked up highways. And then tell them a even native told you to say that."
