Light Shows

Postby tj » Fri Jul 18, 2008 2:27 pm

Just watching The Who on VH1 Classic. A show called VH1 Rock Honors. They are singing Who Are You and the light show is amazing. Lasers, a lot of color, video. So much it appears to be overwhelming the camera's ability to adjust at some points.

What's the best light show anyone has seen over the years?

ELO had a pretty cool show...back in the day.
Catch Transiberian Orchestra this fall. It'll blow you away.

Genesis always has a GREAT light show. Not quite up there with Floyd, but pretty damn good.

Strangely enough, one of the ones that's stayed in my memory over the years? SKID ROW, for the SLAVE TO THE GRIND tour. One of the first tours i ever saw the lighting rigs move automatically, and create different configurations and design for almost every song.. Very cool...

Hands down...Triumph in their heyday and Trans Siberian Orchestra.

TSO had too many bright lights that blinded the crowd though. It was funny looking at everyone in the crowd covering their eyes and or squinting like crazy. Not sure why they did that. Pretty annoying.
