The 2008 Dolphins are going to have a hard time exceeding what the 2007 Dolphins did. And isn't it grand that this is the year they finally come back to Arizona for a game I can go to?

This is not the case concerning the trade for Jason Taylor. Phillip Daniels went down with a season ending injury in training camp and since the 'Skins were already thin at that position, then it became a necessity for the Redskins to pick up Taylor.

I have a feeling Taylor doesn't have football focus anymore. He has his sights set on Hollywood. This could blow up in the Skins' faces.

What choice do they have? The Redskins were thin at DE WITH Daniels and now that he's done for the season, they had to go with what helps their team the best.

I wouldn't read too much into the "hollywood" thing that Taylor has been blabbing about. I have a feeling a lot of that was more or less him taking shots at the Dolphins organization. If the Redskins can get at least two good seasons out of Taylor, then I'll be happy. I think the 2nd round pick was a bit expensive for Taylor, but again, the organization was backed into a corner and desperate. I think it's a good move, and probably the only move the Redskins could've made.

The Skins were lucky that they were $9 million under the cap because they didn't do their usual free agent shopping spree. I still see the Skins finishing 3rd or 4th in that division.

Funny thing is, they haven't been big spenders in free agency in several seasons, save for a couple of hiccups here and there....which just about every team will be guilty of doing at one point or another. And at least when they did spend big, it was on young players who could give them several quality years. The 2000 season was definitely a fiasco the organization will apparently never live down and was fiscally and utterly irresponsible, but that was 8 years ago. Since that point, the Redskins have improved in their offseason acquisitions and it has improved the organization overall.

The Redskins are returning, virtually, the same team to the field they had last year, with some good draft choices added on. If they finish less than third, it will be because of Coach Zorn's transition to head coach and the offense having to learn a brand new system. It won't be because of lack of talent however.

It will be because the Giants are Super Bowl champs and the Cowboys are stocked.

LOL! Well, it's always easy to pick the Super Bowl Champs and the Giants should have a decent team coming back, although they did lose some key guys from this offseason. I don't really see the Cowboys stacked any more than what they were last year, with the exception of adding Adam Jones. I do look for Dallas to once again be the favorite in the NFC and should finish first in the division, but the Giants are always historically awful the season after they win a Super Bowl.

The day Kevin Kolb takes over for that fat, thin-skinned, passive aggressive commenting, pick-tossing in big spots, throwing up choke artist I will be back to being a full-blown Iggles Zealot.

But I cannot revel in Eagles wins with the guy still playing qb here.

It's an interesting dynamic here.
My read is that I am the lunatic fringe, extreme (but VERY vocal) minority. He's got a TON of capital built up in this media market for some reason, and people being the sheople that they are, he's still got an amazing amount of people in this media who still think it's summer 2005 the Eagles are coming off a superbowl berth and he tossed 35 TDs. Makes me wonder JUST how right Rush Limbaugh was.
I keep hearing, "But if Donovan can stay healthy....But when donovan's healthy they're" Reality is they're an average to below average team beginning with that 4 pick superbowl when his cottage cheese ass is on the field. Jeff Garcia led them to their only playoff run in that time.

Agree 100%! Westbrook is one of the best, all-around football players the NFL has! I love the way that guy plays. I'll never forget him going down to kill the clock in a game last season, when he had the easy TD. Every other selfish player in the NFL would have taken the TD!

Ain't it the truth! I usually despise Eagles players about as much as Cowboys players, but I have to say that I have A LOT of respect for Brian Westbrook. He's kind of like Philly's "swiss army knife" on offense if you will. Great player indeed! When McNabb is healthy, the Eagles are a good team, but I think they should've tried their best to have held onto Jeff Garcia.

I know this is the Redskins fan in me, but I see Philly dropping off again this year. I think they are on the verge of having to do some rebuilding.
