I received pretty positive reviews of the entire event as well, but I was told that Augeri is nowhere near where he was in 1998 and 1999 vocally. Still very good, but age and the Journey catalog have taken their toll. I commend these guys for putting together such a great show for an awesome cause.

a) I heard this too, which after 2 + full years of rest leads me to believe he'll never get back live to where he WAS when he was on back in the day. That's fine as long as he keeps his sets short, etc.

b) other than KMS, wonder what the setlist was.

I did ask Steve about the solo CD and he said it is most definitely still in the works. He said they just finished up the TS stuff.

I'm also hopeful there will be at least one NY show before Firefest to warm them up!!

He did "Butterfly" acoustically. You might've peed your manties.

Accoustic:

Kiss Me Softly
Butterfly
Lights/Stay Awhile
Faithfully

With band:

Don't Stop Believin
Separate Ways
And I think another one that I can't remember

With Kevin Chalfant:

Wheel In the Sky
Lights

And I think at least one more.

This is off the top of my head from what I can remember.

Is there any official merchandise from the event...failing that, a link to make a donation?

I'd have paid to hear Chalfant belt out 'Show Me The Way'!!!!

Sounds like a superb event and God, it would be awesome if we could do something similar this side of the pond for such a deserving cause.

The link I have on my site if anyone wants to pass it on...

Rip Rokken and Kevin -- He looks much younger in person than I'd imagined -- he must be drinking out of the Fountain of Youth!

Steve and Freakin' Bela Lugosi... Who ordered the STAKE? LOL!!!

Lol... fanboy.

I wouldn't know, it started and no sooner than that I was starting to develop cavities from the syrupy sappiness so I excused myself from my perch at the stage in front of the monitor and went outside to even the level of blood in my nicotine system.

It just sounded syrupy. I didn't stick around to get the deep meaning or hear the lyrics (and no, I've never heard it all the way through before either... those first few bars are my only exposure to it). :)

The A-List table my arse - you weren't the table that won 14 of the Chinese auction baskets ;)

What a great time - everybody's pretty much said what can be said - can't wait for next year!

Haha... Hey, I tell ya, the real A-list table was the one way in the back where Butch and Val sat to make sure all the fans got the best seats. That says quite a bit about these two. :)

Looks like a blast, maybe L & I will go next year, lol. I'd probably bawl during the survivor's testimonies though since my mother didn't survive it. But it looks like an awesome event.

Would have loved to have heard "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love" live, I love that song.

See a bunch of you soon 8)

Haha... I wonder how many of the finer moments and details in life are missed during these types of "breaks"... As for syrup, I'm going to call Joe Elliott and have him pour some sugar on ya!

It is all evened out by the moments gained during those breaks, you meet some cool people and have some awesome conversations when you step out there.

And as for Joe Elliott... Image
