Styx,Journey and REO jam together!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Tue Jul 22, 2008 1:53 am

Hey,

I don't know if this has ever been posted (I haven't seen it before), but I stumbled on this video and it HAD to be posted! It's members of Styx, Journey (Steve A, Jon and Neal) and REO jamming in a studio on Styx's "Waiting for our time to come". It's not my favorite Styx song, but it's still cool as hell to see them all jamming together on this! Hope you enjoy.

I know! He's a great guitarist, but when I saw them front-row with Journey a few years back...I was deaf for about 3 days after! His guitar was by FAR the loudest guitar I've ever heard. Someone wasn't paying attention on the mixing board. The entire time he plays, his face looks like this... :D It looks like he has a permanent smile!

I have seen a couple other songs from this performance? Anybody know where any others are? Any idea why this performance never aired like it was rumored to?

No...I couldn't find any other videos out there. I'm sure they'd have to have played others though. If you have any luck, let me know. I'd LOVE to hear them do some others!

I also saw a video on VH1Classic from this where Journey does Liberty. Don't know if it's on YouTube.

Thanks for sharing that! I must say though...I thought Augeri's vocals SUCK on that song. I really liked some of his vocals on Arrival, and "Remember Me", but I'm SO glad they've found Arnel. The difference is night and day! Augeri was a great guy, but vocally...nowhere NEAR the level of talent that Arnel is. I may be alone in my thinking here, but he's like a breath of fresh Journey air! I can't wait to hear their next album (if there ever IS another album).
