OT: help me figure out this song/band PLEASE!!

Postby FishinMagician » Tue Jul 22, 2008 1:44 pm

so, me and my buddy are trying to figure out this song...
it is sort of an acapella/barbershop thing with like 4 men singing from either the 80's or the 90's
it sounds kinda like 7 bridges road from the eagles, and it is popular cuz i hear it on the classic rock station all the time but im drawing a blank and its pissing me off
brain freeze!!
thanks

Gotta be Crosby, Stills & Nash. Suite Judy Blue Eyes.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

If you or someone has an iphone, the next time you hear it, point the phone at the radio & it will pick up the coded artist, album, and song title info and display it...my kid showed me this feature the other day...pretty darn cool. I think maybe you have to download an app and configure the phone to do it before it will work.

You need the Shazaam app I believe.

Funny thing, this is relatively new and getting all sorts of praise. But my Walkman Phone has been out for more than 6 months with this feature built in. Of course I live in the Stone Ages and don't have internet on my phone...but I COULD!!

Haha, Gary and Nuno did perform well on this song though. Great vocals. As with most of the bands that got big on ballads, most of their material isn't like this. Check out Get The Funk Out or Hole Hearted for some Nuno Bettencourt funky shredding.

Maui Tom also found "Baker Street" for me within 5 minutes.

The only clue I could give him, was me spelling out the saxophone hook.
