I had the pleasure of being seated at the same table as Rip, Rhi and Blue Jean Girl. It was nice meeting you all! The entertainment was great. It was my first time being able to hear Kevin Chalfant in person and I was absolutely blown away. That guy has a great set of pipes! His band was pretty awesome too!

The highlight of the night was being able to see Steve Augeri gracing the stage again. His performance was spectacular! Loved the acustic set he did. Kiss Me Softly was very moving. Vocals were perfect. The rockers were great as well. Steve made sure anyone who wanted an autograph and picture got one!

Marty should have some wonderful pictures and I will post some later as well. (Time to get back to reality and work! :) )

Again, Kudos to Dr. Val and the JTTC team! They do some pretty wonderful work! Please support this great cause!

Would have loved to have heard "I've Got A Lot To Learn About Love" live, I love that song.

See a bunch of you soon 8)

Hey, let's get our tickets together and we'll all get a table together! I may just purchase mine for next year well in advance.

Sounds good 8)

That is a GREAT picture, and I also tried to get one, but I had a mic stand in front of me most of the time which made it hard to get those shots. You know, there was one of those songs Kevin and Steve sang on where they each offered to let the other one start it off... That really said something about how generous each was as a performer.

Here’s my provisional slideshow of the event. I apologise in advance if you find it a little tedious to go through as there are way too many images here (450+) and I haven’t had time to remove some of the crappy ones yet. But I wanted to get it online quickly and I’m sure those who were there will want to see as many images as possible.

http://www.martymoffatt.com/jttc-2008

Once the slideshow is running, you can skip through the images quickly simply by clicking on an image to advance to the next one, or click the icon in the bottom right corner to bring up a gallery of thumbnails.

When I get more time I’ll put together some more refined galleries from the event.

I already know I want to contact JTTC about ways to get involved with the organization. They are great people doing great things. At another Journey-related site I'm on, we're talking about featuring JTTC on the site and how to promote it.

And Kim, we BETTER see you at next years! :D It was so much fun!

Those pics are AWESOME, Marty, and now I see what difference a good camera (and a great photographer) can make! When you handed me your camera to take a shot of you with some peeps, it was pretty intimidating... haha!

Anyway, thanks for putting this together, and I'm actually watching the whole thing as-is. Will finish when I get home.

Thanks!! :) I had read all of those except Butterfly and figured it was a longer set for some reason. Great list though! Stuff like this really makes me miss my good old home state of California. :( Utah never gets anything awesome like this.

I have several more pics, and some that I took of other people that turned out pretty well. I'll post some of them later in case they see them and want them.

Ok, last batch of decent pics... I have a few halfway good live band shots, but halfway good isn't good enough. Tempted to post this one shot up Kevin's nostrils, though! LOL! I think what happened was I zoomed my lens in while he was on the other side of the stage, then snapped a quick shot when he came over to our side, but forgot to kick the lens back down. Imagine my surprise when I found a closeup picture of him looking up his nose on my camera... LOL!

If anyone sees one of these they want the original for, PM me and I'll send it to you.

BJG: "Singer, bassist, drummer, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar... something's missing."
Rhi: "Yeah, they're missing their Frig."
(both scan the stage looking... see this guy standing looking all classy and out of place)
In Unison: "There's the Frig."

He was very pretty in person, actually. And a really nice guy too. Now the dude with the acoustic guitar, with the Tarzan hair in dire need of some conditioner who should NOT wear leather pants at his age... he was a strange one. That high note he hit at the end of WITS had me thouroughly impressed, however. Nobody saw that coming.

That was Chuck, and he was the COOLEST! We talked several times that day and evening, and he even gave me a shout-out from the stage. I got a real kick when he came out playing that mandolin on one song, and thought about sticking my tongue out and flashing him the devil horns! After we took that photo, I joked that I couldn't wait to tell my friends that I met Tommy Lee... haha! Super nice guy!

Anyway, they rock and I hope to see them again at the first opportunity. Kathryn was dolled up rather nicely herself, btw....

Maybe he was peeking down someone's shirt and they took defensive action, resulting in that high note?
