Nugents concert rained out after his rain dance

Postby Angiekay » Fri Jul 25, 2008 1:04 am

This is pretty freakin' funny!

Ted Nugent did a Native American rain dance on stage at the recent Monsters of Rock concert in Zaragoza, Spain -- and it was followed by a major downpour which put an end to the whole show.

Wearing full-feathered headgear, Nugent launched into the dance while wrapping his set with "Great White Buffalo." After his ritual, the rain arrived, and destroyed the stage's production and lighting equipment. Organizers were forced to cancel the rest of the show, which included a performance by headliner Deep Purple. Nugent has since returned to the U.S. to continue on his 50th concert outing, dubbed the Rolling Thunder 2008 tour. He's out behind his 35th album, 2007's Love Grenade, as well as his new CD/DVD set Sweden Rocks.

Nugent will make his feature film debut in Beer For My Horses, which opens August 8th and stars Toby Keith, Rodney Carrington, Claire Forlani, Tom Skerritt and Willie Nelson.
Nugent's new book, titled Ted, White & Blue: The Nugent Manifesto, will be out this fall. Nugent says his "manifesto" can be described as "That logic, honesty, goodwill and decency will guide a person to a quality of life -- and that if a wild guitar player like me can be an asset to self, family, community, country, mankind and the good earth, nobody has an excuse to be a liability." He added, "Doing the right thing is ridiculously easy and always much more satisfying."

Nuge would be a great addition to Team McCain as VP. Ted would straighten his ass out on a few issues as well.
