Er, dude. One moment please.

You had a Chesney board at your crib. True, it's gone now (in shame) but the "memories remain."
You gotta live THAT down (and the half-life on mockery for having a Chesney board is 3 years) before you bark up my tree about my ROR affinity :)
Just ask Matto about ROR. He feels me.
Did I just type that out loud?
So I like to flit about in crotchless lingerie with a clothespin affixed to my sack in an attempt to high the high notes in WCTNGOF? (all TM Saint John) you had a damn Chesney board. :P

Pos Touch, It Could Have Been You, Once You love Somebody, Girl Can't Help It, let those great old ROR tracks breathe a little bit.

Agreed, I'd trade DSB and Who's Crying Now for those 2.....in a heart beat! :)

Who's Crying Now- Another boring and over played and over lauded song. Worst song from Escape. GCHI is a brilliant song. Too bad they ripped the title off from Little Richard. Ripped off again Rich- WWWWWWWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

WCN vs. GCHI, WCN wins EVERY time.

Dun dun daaaah! I'm totally with you on this even tho i love the song Escape. I would have loved to have heard a coupla ROR tunes. IF they are overproduced on the album, well, they can give em a raw edge in concert.......

Lights is enjoyable despite there only being like 3 different lines in the whole tune.

LTS would've been better with an ass-nasty bass-and-guitar blues jam for 29 minutes rather than an annoying "nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah" for 29 minutes.

1. This isn't about tough. I never said Escape was a tough song...it's just the best album track ever created.

2. I didn't have a chesney board...I had a country-rock board....where chesney was permissible discussion fodder. Let's get something straight. Chesney's damn good music...in it's own right....it has nothing to do with whether or not my stating the FACT that Escape is one of the greatest album tracks ever recorded...

I'm with you on ROR... are they still playing Chain Reaction, Edge of the Blade, and Rubicon? Those are 3 great songs that I think should stay in the set for years to come.

To suggest that there's any song in the Journey catalog that can even come close to replacing Escape, is sheer lunacy!

That was as good as you're going to hear anyone sing that song today. That's a tough vocal.

The only redeeming factor of Lights for me is anytime Neal plays a Strat, his playing comes even more alive for me. So hearing him on a Strat isn't bad.

Has this been posted? Sorry if it has..haven't read through the thread.

Anyhoo, they did ESCAPE at Irvine but I think, not positive 'tho, that it was deleted for Vegas.

Hope it comes back into the set list for Nashville cause it ROCKS! :D

Agreed! Lights is definitely a classic. LTS can be good or not, it all depends who's delivering it. SP and JSS did great on that one. It requires a certain bluesy swagger and attitude. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UR2hw6AsAI That's a lot of high range singing on that one though. Around 1:55 mark  Would be hard to do night after night.

LTS IS THE FIRST REAL HIT JOURNEY HAD... so to me its the CLASSIC---it would be better if they could come off that with City of Angels.
Would that spruce it up enough for you guys who hate this song...

City of the Angels would be amazing. Always an under-the-radar great song. Rarely even see it talked about here. I'd say it's the most underrated of the underrated songs. lol
