A comment I don't need to make, but feel as if I want to, as if an overbearing over-opinionated blowhard can talk about me, then I should at least respond.

People have a lot of opinions on everything to do with this site and the music I cover. I welcome those opinions and because I make myself easily available, I do hear all those opinions.

One thing I don't have any time whatsoever for, is people talking shit about my reviews. Not the fact that some can have a differing view (I welcome that at all times), but when someone deliberately tries to slander my reputation and my integrity...then I get fired up.

Of course, we are talking about good ol' Rockindeano here, so I'm confident few will take any of his rambling seriously, but the following comment was brought to my attention, as posted on another forum.

Mr. RND says: "Dude, you can call me bias on many of my favourite bands, but you know the 'Bat gave Magic an 89 because it was Springsteen, and the comments he "wrote" I saw later on in a newspaper review online...haha, the Bat just said "fuck it" copy this here, and paste it here, done, Mate! 89 sounds good to me."

Let me be VERY clear in that I completely and utterly scoff at these comments and this tired old tirade is not based on any fact whatsoever.

Should another writer choose to lift whatever I write on this site and pass it off as their own is up to them and their conscience, but my reviews (whether you agree or not) are word for word 100% my own and have been since day 1 and will be until the day I croak.

I spend more time writing and deliberating over reviews than all other sections combined, so I take my role very seriously and won't have a jackass like RND try and taint my reputation on other forums.

Ok, back to normal business. Thanks for reading...

For the record – Bruce Springsteen rules and last I checked 89 was a very good score. Sigh…

For the record - yours is not what I would categorize a "dissenting opinion". Just to educate you a little....a dissenting opinion is when you disagree with the score or comments I gave.
So, you would give Magic 975%. That's beautiful mate....glad you love the album that much. THAT is a dissenting opinion and one I would never argue with.

However - you straight out accused me of copying text from another review and using it as my own. That is NOT a dissenting opinion, that is a blatant attack on my integrity.

And while we are at it – you also state you read a newspaper review AFTER you read my review. Send me that link to the review you speak of. Sounds like some asshole needs to hear from me about plagiarism.

I'm sorry this happened, Andrew. I've never thought that your words were anything but your own. Dean if you're reading this, accusing a writer of plagiarism is a very serious charge that I'm sure Andrew would defend himself against very actively. If you had a question about the integrity of his work, why not ask him about it privately first?

people will be more inclinded to give an artist they like a good review if the product is good.
im sure i would review the journey a bit more favorably because im a fan, and its good,
where as , im not a grunge fan and it would really have to stick out for me to give it a good review.
reviews are just a jumping off point to form your own

Not everybody is going to agree with "reviews"........they are that persons opinion of what they hear.....nothing more, nothing less.

Saying that....I've never read a review where I have ever repeatedly uttered the word "YES!" so many times as on your TMG review. Agreed with every single word, the only tiny thing I would have changed if it was my review is an extra "*" beside Trapped under the track listing at the bottom.
