Actully, that's immediately what I thought when I read your post also. The only reason I begrudgingly signed up there was to defend myself from 2 people I used to consider friends seemingly taking it upon themselves to question my integrity and the way I run this site (which is something I will let speak for itself).

Let me just say this....I do't need protecting and I haven't asked anyone to do that for me - hence why I signed up today. If Deano was booted, then that has nothing to do with me or my issues with him. I have dealt with him before and will do again.

Ok here is my thought...I am friends with, or at least respect everyone involved in this whole shindig...and all I see is a pissing contest going on...it's like "I have a bigger dick than you do" kind of fight too. Maybe everyone can step back and just acknowledge the contributions of everyone else and we all can move forward with what really matters here...the MUSIC...Journey and all the other melodic rock we all love so much?

In all honesty Andrew I would have just left it well alone or dealt with it privately. Now an issue that basically nobody that really matters knew about has been blown up on a much more popular and respected forum and garnered the attention of potentially thousands more.

People libel and slander all day long on the internet and whilst it maybe completely inaccurate and unfair it is surely better to either rise above or if necessary seek legal council. If Jon Cain popped in here to respond every time his sexuality and intimate health issues were brought into question we would no doubt be reading about it in next months Classic Rock magazine or on Blabbermouth.net. As it stands the general population know nothing and probably care even less about ol' yeasty's bedroom habits!

This is only speculative but it seems to me that Dean may well be experiencing some issues following the tragic loss of his son (as is to be expected) and should not be provoked or pressured unduly despite what may be unreasonable actions. As far as I know despite the bravado he is a good guy, as are you, and it is distressing to see the way things are at this moment.

I hope you get a sincere apology and that all is well again soon.

Since its inception in May, WTF has created a bit of its own identity and sustained itself even while Deano was gone for awhile. While it's not meant at all to be a rival or competition to the MelodicRock forums, WTF provides a place for people to share opinions and discussion that just might be a little too controversial for more middle-of-the-road boards.

I highly encourage all who read this to sign up and add WTF to your daily forum rounds.

Why is this man legendary ProgRocker53?

He's one of the most visible, entertaining, controversial, offensive, and prolific posters in MelodicRock history, dude. He was also part of a successful movement to out Journey for using taped vocals and lip syncing during a period of at least several known shows.

Behind his brash and very open personality lies a good man.. and many others would attest to this as well.
