Let me spell it out for you, genius...I never claimed Augeri was an average singer because he couldn't sing in the range Perry sang in. I said he's an average singer, because in my opinion, he simply is!

That's fine. It's a message board. It would be a boring place if everyone spewed the same bullshit. That's why I left Jackass Talk, because I found the red leather, circle jerks to be fucking nauseating!

Just so I'm clear, I didn't call you a fuckwad for disagreeing with me. That's your right. I called you a fuckwad for coming across as a condescending, pompous ass, telling me that I know absolutely nothing, simply because my opinion wasn't consistent with yours!

I didn't say it sucked because it didn't sound like "classic Journey" (there you go just making shit up again). I said it sucked, because in my opinion, it was unlistenable and dreadful! If you feel otherwise, more power to you!

Since 78 wrote:And calling Generations a "fucking abortion" every time you get a chance isn't going to make people stop liking it.

Listen 78...my mission in life isn't to convert ANYONE to my way of thinking. I honestly don't give a shit! I called "Generations" an abortion, because with the exception of one or two tracks, it was AWFUL! I'm fully cognizant of the fact that there are Augeri fans who would sing the guy's praises if he released a rap album. Once again, more power to them. It doesn't change the fact that most Journey fans who live outside of websites like MR, agree more with my position than the position that "Generations" was some kind of masterpiece. Anything with Schon, Valory, and Cain singing vocals shouldn't be used as anything other than a coaster to put a cold drink on (which is what I use my copy for)!

Since 78 wrote:If you don't like it fine, but why always take the opportunity to say something negative?

Because it was germane to the conversation. It's really not anymore complicated than that!

Since 78 wrote:And I said what I felt like saying. Was`I not supposed to do that?

Of course you were! I'll defend ANYONE'S right to have an opinion, even if they tell me I know absolutely nothing, because my opinion isn't in line with theirs. Having said that, if someone calls me out, I will come after them EVERY time! I promise you this...If you look at EVERY post I've ever made on ANY message board, you will NEVER, EVER, EVER find one single instance of me going after another poster, unless they went after me first! I will NEVER make something personal, unless someone else chooses to make it personal, first!

Wow, I thought my mom was a yapper. Enigma just has the itch to fight.. '78 I think we've all learned that from experience one way or another with JFB. He took a simple "Augeri for president" bumper sticker comment...to ranting about the guy. It was his perfect opportunity. There are a lot of people who can get someones attention and twist and turn on peoples emotions with a snap of a finger.. John takes the cake with this, and is damned good at it. Instigator nonetheless. Let 'em go '78..its no use.  I applaud you JFB with your antics. LOL :P 8)

And even without the card, I would disagree with you, onestepper. He does care.

His life, however, is not dictated by what I want. I'm one of those that has been waiting year after year. I'd love that CD to come out, but ya know... my life goes on nonetheless. and I'm ok with it. Faithful to the end.

His time schedule, not mine.

I was joking Playit. I know very well he is a good person. I don't judge a man's character by how long it takes him to release an stupid CD. Do I think he could communicate with his fan base better? Yes. But that doesn't make him a horrible person. There have been numerous examples of his generosity, as well as his stubbornness. That just makes him like the rest of us in many ways.

Well, to be fair, the comment didn't come off as joking at all.

And he has communicated. Check out Fan Asylum's Q&As. He didn't have to do any of those. He answered my questions every time I submitted them. Does he need to be on live chat every week to be communicating? No. I think he's very well aware that his fans would like a CD. I also think he wants it to be the absolute best it can be before it is released.

If you have your expectations for his level of communication preset, then any disappointment in Steve's meeting those expectations are all yours to have, and not on him. He couldn't possibly meet every single persons full expectations of what he should do/act/say 24/7.

That card was the equivalent of winning the lottery. The guy thinks/cares about his fans maybe 2 days out of the year and himself and how to derail Journey the other 363. Considering he has millions of fans and on 1 of the 2 days that he does think about them you were the recipient makes you a lottery winner. Congrats!!! This guy hasn't been honest to himself, his fans or his former bandmates for the better part of 20 years. Maybe they deserve it, but the fans sure don't. Perry's good to his fans...lol. Anyone that believes that shit should be fuckin' committed.

And you clearly don't understand Passive Agressive behavior when you commit it. Dissing someone, then calling it a joke = passive agressive.

I don't speak for anyone. I made a statement about expectations. If it hits close to home, you might want to look at that. Your choice.
