Not when someone makes below minimum wage, and in most cases like 2 bucks an hour it's not. And guess what, servers are now taxed on the bill. That is, they HAVE to pay a certain percentage of taxes based on their gross bills. So when people are fucking cheap or don't tip at all they're actually paying taxes on money they didn't even make!!! It's mainly because of that law that I think 15-20 percent should be automatic since the server is getting taxed on the
presumption that at least that amount is being left!!!
