I love U2's live versions of "Help!" better than the original Beatles' version...but that's as far as I'll go in saying anyone can remake a Beatles' tune better than the original.

A few others that do it for me include Jimi Hendrick's version of "All Along the Watchtower", The Beatles "Twist and Shout" (over The Isley Brothers), Billy Idol "Mony, Mony"(over Tommy James), Santana's "Black Magic Woman"(over Fleetwood Mac), & Johnny Cash "Hurt" (over Nine Inch Nails).

The only time I've experienced a better cover version over the original, is when I first hear the cover before I've ever heard the original. I usually will prefer the cover in that situation because it was the first version I ever heard. My example is "Bang a Gong" by Power Station. First time I heard that song it was performed by Power Station in late 85' early 86'. And then a few years later while in Japan I heard the original by T-Rex. Needless to say, I completely preferred the Power Station version.
