maybe its best that perry ended with them after trial by fire.every album he did with them was platinum and top ten material except the first two and both those were top twenty and platinum.trial by fire was a very laid back album and i think the next one would've been very lite flavored knowing they might've continued in the same direction and all.i think if perry would've continued it might've tarnished his legacy rather than help it because he was probably spent at the time and needed to take a breather and get his health and thoughts together but after waiting once after the '86 album they weren't going to wait after the '96 album.the perry solo in '94 and then the '96 group album both showed the direction he was headed in musically.what might've been could've been great or it might've flopped but we'll never know.....

Good points. Some thoughts regarding.

If he'd done another album, it would've been good. There's no way it would've flopped 'cause he's definitely a perfectionist. That being said, I don't know that they could've jelled in a studio after the TBF tour debacle. Was there enough wine in Napa to smooth Cain and Schon back into submission after all that?

All in all, I also think it best that he didn't go back. They had to pick themselves up to keep going and its paying off now.

If SP wants a group effort, I'm sure Smitty would jam with him. Josh Ramos, Randy Jackson too. If there's a will, there's a way.

I'll take one. I'm deeply offended as I momentarily hung with Mr. Valory at a bar in Vegas. We were both responsibly enjoying our beverages and tobacco products. As Debbie says, 1800ROSSROCKS.

So yeah, I don't know if I can recover. Maybe one day I can learn to forgive you and move on. But not today, Grasshopper. Not today.
