I know who Dave Bickler is.
I know what you mean about beer. The sight of your artwork starts a similar reflex in me but at least it promotes a response right?![]()

...the first album sounds similar to a path Journey may have taken in around 1989 had they remained together with the ROR lineup. Dude has a lot of Perryesque moments, and the guitarist apes Schon regularly! Drums sound just like Baird though. It wasn't a great album, but it was decent AOR, and I'll be spinning it again. I may skip the brutal cover of "Paint it Black" though... it just doesn't work as a pseudo-power metal song.
The second album, however, is a complete sonic clusterfuck.. they went everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time. This was most notable on the song "Goin' Surfin." Horrible lyrics, the singer sounded like Steve Perry bound and gagged in Friga's basement, bland chorus... and a random bad guitar solo that sounded so out of place... the music had NOTHING to do with surfing either... somewhere Brian Wilson dug himself a grave to roll around in after listening to this catastrophe.

Paint it Black and Goin' Surfin were the two songs I took an instant dislike to as well. There is definitely a lot of good material to be found on the After Hours releases though and that guy is a Stellar vocalist.

Hopefully the second album will grow on me more... but the first one is really nice. Surprised I haven't heard of these guys before now.
Thanks brah.
