This cute girl walks in...wonderfully-styled brown hair, perfect white teeth, legs smoother than Gregg Rolie's organ.... BUT none of this is the best part...
she had a CAMEL shirt... as in the band CAMEL....
I about lost myself... I haven't met someone in person who even KNOWS of the band Camel, let alone liking them... I was like... omgomgomgomgomg. My prog princess arrived!
So, I decide, time to break the ice. I "walk by to grab napkins" and stop beside her real quick and compliment her.
Me- "Hey!! Nice shirt!! I love Camel."
Her- "Oh really?"
Me- "Yeah. That's the first Camel shirt I've ever seen actually, odd seeing it around here! Great taste."
Her- "Thanks. I made it myself."
Me- "Keep up the good work! So I..."
Her- "Oh hey I have to go."
and then she just picked up her food and left. Just like that.
Damn, something's gotta be wrong with me!! She was either a bitch, shy, in a hurry, or creeped out.
On my way back to my friends' table I was thinking.... was it my confidence? Me being too perfect for her? My Evolution-era Journey shirt?
Nah, my best friend has this to say (and she's often right about these things):
"It's your damn ugly ass beard."
So, I shaved this cool little beard that I had going, clean off. I liked that beard too, I like having facial hair.
So that brings me to my next question.
