What a mean spirited thing to say.
Agreed. Of all the things to decide to have an opinion on.
My opinion is as valid as yours or anybody else who posts on this forum. There's nothing mean spirited about saying the dude has to quit talking half the day and take care of his voice. He is on a tour with two other bands. This isn't just about Journey. There is a bigger picture, so he needs to sort his priorities, if this is the big dream for him that he says it is. There....is that more BT-ish for ya?![]()
Sheesh, kids these days.
How the hell do you know how much he is talking? Have you ever called someone just to hear their voice? It's one thing to break down every single thing someone does on stage or in the studio, or publicly..but to judge him because he wants to be in contact with his family? You gotta lota nerve.
I think this is the inherent problem with any message board dedicated to a single topic -- that topic gets rehashed, regurgitated, over-analyzed and examined from every conceivable orifice, and in the process people forget which things are important for us to be concerned about and which are not. The exact reason I create so many OT threads -- I can't cross that line to keep a topic fresh, so I cleanse the palate by talking about something else for a while.
Then you have the drama addicts who expect everything to play out like the tabloids or a soap opera. Starts with the hook-up rumors, then the confirmation, soon followed by the questions about "is there trouble in paradise" and all the breakup rumors. Rampant speculation becomes the order of the day.
The Internet has greatly exacerbated this problem -- we have too much access to info that doesn't concern us, and everyone is a critic now. No wonder Arnel wants to talk to his family so often with this kinda pressure.
