Most of Nike's endorsers are big time athletes and Arnel isn't. Besides, any efforts to find a person to endorse a product should be done by Nike themselves and not the person much less a third party. Don't get me wrong dude, I am a big Arnel fan and I will be thrilled if he can get product endorsements. It just that I don't think this is the fans' business.
Yeah but Arnel does what most those others can't do, jump about twice his actual height, at least that is what it apears he is doing.
I still don't understand how it will benefit Nike.
All the younger kids who loves Journey and Arnel will need to go out and purchase the same brand that Arnel is jumping around on stage in. How many is that? A signature set of Nike's, much like that $75 dollar bottle of wine some months back with all the Journey member's signature on it that someone was peddling on this site. Guaranteed that there will be products with Arnel's signature on them, primarily in the Philippines I think though.
Arnel is not that big a star yet in the Philippines. One of my friends used to write for the entertainment section of a major daily and she barely know him. Journey's music isn't exactly the kind of music that younger kids would dig unless they were heavily influence by their parents.
