First of all, I would say again that I like both SP's and AP's music.

This post is not intended to offend anybody! This is a well-intended personal contribution.
However, I'm fully aware that if misinterpreted, this could well be my last post!
For me, this is just for fun (and perhaps for MR posterity?).

I coined two new and perhaps original words for MR community’s possible future use:

1. Perrynoia: (noun)
a tendency on the part of an individual or group toward excessive or irrational defensiveness, suspiciousness or distrustfulness of non-Perry loons, or non-Perry fans.

2. Perrynoid: (adjective)
characterized by Perrynoia.

(Without any guarantee, I may consider any reasonable suggestion for revision or modification of the meaning.)

Origin: paranoia and paranoid, defined by Webster dictionary as:
paranoia: (noun) a tendency on the part of an individual or group toward excessive or irrational suspiciousness and distrustfulness of others

paranoid: (adjective) characterized by suspiciousness, persecutory trends, or megalomania

I firmly believe that the ghost of Steve Perry still haunts this board, and have experienced tons of unexplained phenomena, such as distant wails and something sounding like wrist slapping. I've also seen several units of Journey's Greatest Hits move by themselves, without noticeable help from marketers or advertising, or even the current band for that matter. It spooks me, and I'm staying out of the Perry threads from now on.

edcha- I am a big fan of the man, and I love the puns. It is no slam to him. I find Perrynormal activity to be a playful poltergeist, he moves my things, and makes me remember him every day. He is quite friendly. I never understand anyone's need to be ugly to him. It is never a bother if some are afraid of him, or dislike his presence. He gives some of us great peace of mind when you hear him singing in the distance. Don't stop beleivin!
