I enjoy reading a musician's forum called Vanderbilly.com and came across this post that is so awesome I wanted to share it with you:

Thanks VB, You are my main "Neal Schon" teacher so your comments really mean a lot to me. I love the solo in Still They Ride too. I think I hear some of the same patterns in there that are also in the Edge of the Blade solo?

You know, I hate to be so decisive or close minded about saying one guitar player is the "best" because there are so many great players out there and technically, arguments can be made for and against the difficulty involved with playing various styles of guitar. However, the thing that I can say is that Neal Schon's playing does something so deeply to me that it feels like it connects all the way to my soul. It isn't just the speed or just the melodic content or how he makes things fit. It is like looking at a painting from a master painter who poured everything he had into his final work of art. Well, I don't want to get too sappy here but, I think you know what I mean."

Thanks, Neal, for all the beautiful music.

I thought they did get back together, and then the scorned lover returned back to the scene and the party ended.

What I like best about Neal, aside from his brilliant, unforgettable music with Steve Perry, are his interviews. He tells it as he sees it and the good and bad of it all is worthy of discussion for weeks to come, ya know?

This Bud's for you Neal!

What i like best about Neal is the utter bs that continuously comes outta his mouth. Its hilarious. Every single interview he comes up with crap, and drops himself deeper in that crap.

He is a 'Good Person' though

It's been said by many that Neal is underrated.

It would seem that everyone here rates him high on his talent. I wonder what is considered to be the source of his being underestimated?
