My "*if*" was only because after rumor upon rumor (upon rumor upon rumor upon ruuumorrr), I know better than to pay attention to some 80s DJ who read it in a magazine by some writer who took something Steve said to mean something that wasn't there. Or with any band for that matter. I don't start paying attention to things like that until the artist himself (or herself or themselves) announce things.

You're totaly right... "when" is better than "if" - much more positive of an attitude. I do that too. The difference is you have said "I'm writing a novel". SP has not said (to my knowledge!?) "I'm recording an album." So to attach "when it comes out" to it, to my way of thinking, isn't accurate or necessarily appropriate. This is why people unfairly get "mad" at him for "not doing anything". Rumors indicate something is happening that very well may not be.

I can tell you as an artist (visual) one of my professors asked me when I thought I would be "finished" with my painting. I told him when I lay down the brush, and tell you I am finished. I think music is the same. I would not want him to rush anything. When we get an album, I will be camped out to get it. Folks you wouldn't want it till He is happy with it. It would be sub par! I am glad he doesn't give in to the pressures of fans or press. That is ART!

I will wait, "Patiently" till He lays down the "brush".
