There are so many idiots during hurricanes and tropical storms it's just ridiculous. This was all over our local news yesterday as a warning for people to please not go near the water during the storm. Like they should HAVE to warn people  That guy is in critical condition now too, because he hit the building. Unreal they caught that on camera though!

What an idiot!!! He is still in critical condition in the hospital. So during an oncoming storm, first responders had to drop what they were doing and go save this guy's ass - and neck.

Generally, the regular surfers are out too!!

Great waves!!!

Too bad people have to risk their lives to go rescue them. It is the same with every storm.

Usually it's tourists who come to Miami and ridicule the locals for not surfing during storms or for not swimming in the ocean at night.

Ya know what we call toursists who swim in the ocean at night?? Bait!!

People need to learn when to let go! ... unless the kite is tied to his arm! :?

I think he was actually attached to the thing where he could not let go. It's like a harness. I think it's made that way so that if the rope breaks, you can glide back down to the water without killing yourself. They actually are on a board in the water with foot bindings, kind of like you wear on a snowboard I believe. I'm not sure though, since I am no kite surfing expert. I'm sure there is some sort of safety release, but it looks like it happened so quickly and he was so out of control, he probably couldn't get to it.

Lovely video! I hope that guy gets all better fast so he can do it again. Next time though I'd like to see him try it with a tornado. Just wear a helmet and a pair of goggles dude....you'll be fine.

People shouldn't fuck with Mother Nature, cause if they loose, they usually do really big. The next guy we see fucking up could probably be this dude:

At 2:15 Ron White talks about a guy who's going to ride out a hurricane to prove a point.

I'm sorry, but I've gotta correct your post...a true redneck would say "Watch this shit!!!", or "Check this shit out Bo!!!". Trust me...I married into a family full of them!

I have one Brother-In-Law who actually ran over his own foot with a bulldozer (I'll let YOU figure that one out). The same guy who also cut half of his fingers off while playing with a skillsaw. They were sewn back on though.

I could go on for hours about my other Brother-In-Laws, but I'll keep the stories to myself (only to protect the innocent). Besides, you wouldn't believe HALF of this shit if I told you... you'd SWEAR I was making it up!   Jerry Springer's got NOTHING on this family!
