OT-AC/DC confirms cd release and tour

It's been all but confirmed for weeks, but AC/DC has finally announced that its new album is titled Black Ice and will be released on October 20th internationally and October 21st in North America. The 15-song collection, the group's first set of all-new material since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip, will be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart and Sam's Club at a special price of $11.88. The CD will also be available through both retailers' websites, as well as the band's official site, acdc.com.

The first single from Black Ice, "Rock 'N' Roll Train," will debut on August 28th.
Other tracks on the record include "Skies on Fire," "War Machine," "Wheels," "Decibel," "She Likes Rock 'n' Roll" and the title track.
Black Ice was produced by Brendan O'Brien, best known for his work with Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots.
The band will kick off its first tour in seven years in late October, possibly on Halloween in Chicago.
AC/DC's label, Columbia Records, told Billboard.com it is planning "multiple activities for fans" before the album's release date.

I've never seen them either, missed them the last time they were close. Sounds like if you are going, you better do it this time. There are big rumors this is the last tour for them and if they are going out for 18 months, I can see those rumors being true.

I can't wait for this. If this is indeed their last tour, the ticket prices are going to hurt. I may even have to put in some overtime at work.

My ears have not healed from the last tour, it was an excellent show. Slash's Snake Pit, I believe opened for them. I thought Stiff Upper Lip was a pretty good album as well. I am looking forward to the new album, I need some good straight up rock that only AC/DC can deliver.

I've never seen them either. I had a chance to see them on the HIGHWAY TO HELL tour at about a 4,000 seater in Nashville when I was a kid, and I didn't go. I've missed them every other chance I've had since (and been kicking myself for not taking the chance to see Bon when I could! What a great frontman!)

I heard an interview with Brian Johnson (whose dialect just makes me smile!) and he swears this is "the best ACDC album ever!"
I'll believe it when I hear it, but honestly I think the last really good album they released was FLY ON THE WALL, so who knows? I'm definitely catching them if they come my way.

best concert i ever went to was the 1990/1991 the razors edge tour.they definitely put out great energy and a good show and i'd love to see 'em again.
